I'm going to work on another song tonight if I can, to show off a different type of scream. Well, it's more of a growl...I'm just waiting for people to leave the house so I can record.

Thanks. :D

P.S...Btw, I didn't make the music for those songs. I borrowed them off the Newground.com audio portal and added vocals, with permission of course.

MikeGentry wrote: Nobody listens to that screamo crap! well maybe they do. I'm the lead guitar player in a metal hardcore screamo band. We've been together for a few months and are doing pretty good considering I've been told that screamo sucks and nobody listens to it. You can check out our stuff at the link below.

LOL

Hey Mike, I think I said before that screaming is a talent, and one which I surely don't possess, and people certainly DO listen to it, or there wouldn't be alot of bands doing it. But... I have had several industry people tell me it's days are numbered. We'll see. They aren't always right about these things.

Ryan,

Maybe it's just the song selection, but I don't hear the power bro. Screamers, the best ones, have power. The vocals running through effects were cool, but I don't hear the force.

In the immortal words of Yoda...

"Old I am, crazy some call me, they do, but the force is not yet strong with this one."

Im glad I dont live in your apartment complex.

I cant begin to say anything cause this is outside of my understanding.

Like the Capt says if this is what you like to do go for it.

Can you imagine a little ole retired lady next door hears this being recorded?

Oh, ok.

Well, record something on the weekend.

I can see you have the drive, and in this business, that sometimes accounts for more than raw talent, where success is concerned. I see also that you have some style to your vocals. So, if you do have the power to go with it. I think a band will grab you up in no time.

Can you sing too?

If so, hedge your bets, and do something along the lines of Mike Gentry's band, where the vocalist mixes singing with screaming. This ensure's you endure, in case, like disco, screaming starts to fade from public interest or there is a backlash against it.

Keep rockin' it brother!

I think screaming will be around for awhile...After all, it has been around since the 70's. And yes I can sing a little. I want to do music in the style of The Devil Wears Prada, where most of the songs are screaming but in the middle they add some clean vocals.

Screaming is like, I dunno, beer bonging, or lighting your farts. You can be competitive in it, until you get tired of throwing up or burning your ass hairs. Then, you concentrate on music.
