Good luck! I've given up looking for a duo partner after trying out half a dozen people in the last 2 years. Its very difficult to find someone in the same 'musical frame of mind' as you are, who has the time, ability and commitment needed to do it correctly. In addition, you want someone who will also write prose (fiction) with you. I think that may stop things dead in their tracks!
You can use the search feature in the profiles here, not many people come to these forums when searching for other musicians. I'd also advise getting out to all music events in your area including open mics and jams - best way to find someone is get out and hear others play.

A good way to find a partner is to go to the places where these people are already playing.
And talk.
Or go to 3 - 4 different open mikes, and ask around.
Print up 30 - 40 "wanted" flyers on your computer, and hand them out.
if someone says they're not ready for a duo, just ask them if they know of anyone who MIGHT be interested.
Keep a pencil and paper with you always, and take names and numbers.

Try posting fliers in your local music stores. It worked quite well in this area.
