We would have nation-states, ala the European Union, where we are truly independent of each other. We would have a Federal Government that follows the Constitution and only provides for roads and defense. Each State would have a vote in any wars, making it nearly impossible to go to war. Liberals could live in liberal land, and conservatives wouldn't be supporting 48% of the population. There would be no Federal Reserve Bank, no military super-complex, no CIA, NSA, FBI. You wouldn't have a Social Security card, and all "health care" would be local with each community deciding what is best for itself. There would be no (federal) income tax, and if you didn't like the tax-burden where you are, you could simply move to another state.

Each State would have it's own immigration policy, too. All those who think absorbing millions of immigrants is a good idea would have to share their own economy, instead of forcing it on those who aren't prepared for it.

You wouldn't have Waco, Ruby Ridge, or even Bundy ranch. Social ministries and humanitarian help would all be local, and MUCH more efficient in helping people build their lives as opposed to living on handouts.

Almost all states would be pro-life, and gay marriage would be legal somewhere between 5 to 20 States. You could move to what suits you pretty easily.

Sheeshh...this could go on and on and on.....

Actually Vinny, the president says we don't have to worry about such things as Ebola in America. Unfortunately when he decided to let people come to America from Africa it was simply due to a mis understanding. When an aid rushed up to him on the golf course and warned him about Ebola he thought the aid was talking about E-Bowling coming to America. The reason we don't have one way air to Africa and ban flights from Africa is simple. Fewer of them will be going on line to E-bowl when they arrive here..
Potus is actually more concerned that E=golfing might disrupt the national past time and therefore become the greater threat. However some silly people are rather concerned about Ebola arriving in America since it is now known that it can be spread through the air like the common cold. Besides, now it is known that only 70% of those infected die from it. That is an acceptable number. I'll give him a B+ on this one.

GENEVA (AP) — A World Health Organization official says there could be up to 10,000 new cases of Ebola per week within two months.

WHO assistant director-general Dr. Bruce Aylward says if the response to the Ebola crisis isn’t stepped up within 60 days, “a lot more people will die” and there will be a huge need on the ground to deal with the spiraling numbers of cases. He said WHO estimated there could up to 10,000 cases per week in two months.

Aylward said for the last four weeks, there have been about 1,000 new cases per week, though that figure includes suspected, confirmed and probable cases. He said WHO is aiming to have 70 percent of cases isolated within two months to reverse the outbreak.

Had the South won we would have a that most wonderful of all nature's barriers to self extinction through stupidity: redundancy. By now I agree that there would be multiple Americas; probably four.

The good news is that no single entity of those four nation states would be powerful enough to 'project power' the way our masters like to do now.

The nonsense of open borders would only apply to the nation states that approved of that. We in the South would retain the culture of Western Civilization.

Would all be wonderful? Nope. Man is a sinner. But the slaves would have been freed amicably and there would have been no Jim Crowe, nor for that matter, Reconstruction.

on the whole, things would be better, at least in the South.

And then we get wiped out by biologicals and die writhing in the street, clutching our copy of the constitution...

hey badstrat, Canada banned flights from western Africa yesterday, I have stated since day 1 that we the United States need to do the same thing, you notice how the caseload has exploded over there?.. now Senegal has ebola, and the contagion is now growing exponentially.. we are doomed

the "news" in general is not mentioning either Ebola or Ukraine news lately.. Donetsk is now a separate rogue confederate bastion of rebellion and the news did not mention a thing about that yesterday except for PBS News Hour which did a good job covering that festering region of the world.. Russia again broke a treaty signed in September, but who cares?. I wonder if Mother Russia will cut off gas supplies to Ukraine this winter?

Nigel

Glad somebody noticed that the whole Ukraine business was a f**k CIA bit of nonsense.

I'd add that it was at the behest of our Saudi masters who want Russia's natural gas market which explains Zero's phoney concern for Syria as well.

These people are so damned wicked it makes my skin crawl.

Dane,

I lost your email addy but here is the info that a friend of mine in the ARRL sent to me. Too many posts and threads to find your inquiry and post there so here it is.

Probably the best bet is to look on the web at WWW.QRZ.COM or WWW.EHAM.NET both of them have a swapfest or classifieds. And they both accept "wanted" adds. The ARRL closed their classifieds several years ago.

It's the US that works for the Saudis I'm afraid. Or at least - our govt just happens to have the same policy objectives. :)

As to ebola not getting mentioned? Two reasons, a) the election, b) a desire by the govt to cut down on hysteria - too many things start out that way. Might be a rare wise decision. Since nobody on the left or right trusts the government, who knows if that is a good decision or not in the long run.

You can check Drudge and see that a bunch folks are being 'observed' now but honestly, it does me no good to know that. The question is - will they tell us if any of those go 'positive?'
I'm guessing they would - a leaky world these days.

The equation is frankly all too stark: we seal our borders or we get sick.

TOO LATE ... it is far too late to prevent what is laughingly being dubbed ebola from coming or in fact spreading in the USA. Know that whatever tidbits one may hear from the so-called government is not only very old news but not all at what is relevant tomorrow and purposefully it is all misleading and promotes their longplanned hidden agendas. People ... black, soldiers, nurses, Doctors and children are being used as Delivery Systems for A tailored "virus" which is lying dormant as it spreads until "a predetermined moment" when it will be "activated" and all Hell will break loose. We grow closer each hour to this. The government will not tell you the Truth not protect you ... it means to simply exterminate you along with most Afrikans. Any who debate and can not see this at this late stage are blinded by the rampant virus known as ignorance.
