In the last 10 days we have contacted at least 20 Local (within 25 miles) Bass Players who list Classic Rock as their genre and are looking for a band. Objectively speaking we are accomplished Musicians and Songwriters with good/great songs.
Question: All seem like a Great Fit, so why don't they message us back?

A lot of folks don't want to play originals. It took me a while to understand that but a great many people just learned an instrument to play their favorite songs in a band.

The other side of it is bad as well - my garage band consists of five guys who all write songs, who have all played in original bands and who play well together. It's great except for one thing: everybody is knee deep in adult issues.

On bandmix - I'm embarrassed to find that I have two guys suggesting an online audition (assuming me on bass I suppose) but I have no way to reply since I haven't kept up my paid membership.

Keep searching! At least 75% of the people who set up profiles here on BM are not really looking to play out (despite what their profile says), many just want to jam without the responsibility or work of actual gigs.

Don't call your music good, let others do it for you.

Maybe all the bassists heard your sample and ran for the hills>?
Maybe they all want to be in a cover band? LOL

Plenty of reasons why people don't do the right thing, the point is that they don't want what you are offering so take a note and move on to the next guy. (if you get through another 20 people, consider that you and your cohort are the only ones that think your music is good as musicians are fickle as hell.)
