If you've got a quiet room, of course, and your guitar has been set up correctly (i.e. playing the 12th fret harmonic and holding the string down at the 12th fret play the same note).

Of course electronic tuners are the way to start on the E strings to ensure you are at the correct starting pitch. And if you're in a noisy room, or if youneed to tune multiple guitars together (but not at the same time).
The GAL method is a good way to calibrate your electronic tuner, too. :)

That was a great post on those "luthiers" except for one little thing...

You change the tuning of one string you exponentially change the string tension of ALL the strings. Harmonics are not to be a perfect guide because when you press on a low E string you have thrown the string tension of all the other strings out. Only an experienced player will not get so hung up on this and fix his tuning to fit.

Same thing with politics dude. That is the second time you have deleted my post and left yours standing. You are one sick puppy that has so much trouble tuning a guitar that this has become your major contribution to bandmix. Thankyou.

I don't have to stand up... I'm just not going to get dragged down.

He keeps posting all sorts of stuff about tuning guitars. YET... He couldn't TUNA FISH. I've tried to help him with his musical problem, but I realize it is hopeless. Always remember... C# will always be a half step above C.

Thanks WILLIE as always you and some fresh view as to how far progressives will go!

Thanks, Glen, glad to know that the entire Guild of American Luthiers is wrong and you are right. Your assistance has been so useful when all you do is make derogatory remarks about being wrong, using tuners is wrong, yada yada...

I didn't delete any of your posts, only bothered to read these ones to see what nonsense you were spouting this time. If any of your posts disappeared, I suggest you contact ADMIN directly, they're the ones making the calls.

The only thing more funny than Glen thinking he's a political expert, is Glen thinking he knows anything about sound, music, and guitar.

He should be talking about small business - at least he knows something about that.

That is very disrespectful. It is irrelevant and non musical.

Either mike or bandmix should censor you.

Yep, they probably should.

I try not to get too ugly, but you're gonna get it somewhat when you keep poking.
