Wow, I wasn't going to respond to this but I find this thread very interesting.

I only play to please myself. If I didn't like it, I figure "who would"?

I think that the creator of whatever, is going to be the harshest critic there is because they have a better idea of what it is than just about anyone else.

And when it doesn't live up to what was originally conceived, it's merely mediocre or trash for the furnace at best.

I don't care who likes what. If it doesn't hold true to the standard, it's merely backfire and to be held "suspect".

....where it fleshes itself out and you hear it clearly.

Attitude. If everyone has the right attitude, then it doesn't matter how much playing ability people have. The key thing is for everyone to want to be there, doing what they are doing.

Most important to me is to "Have Fun" and "Enjoy" what I am doing. To test my abilities and to continue to "Learn" and "Improve".

Me.

But I can only get me, if I get me out of the way of myself.
