And what exactly shall force the lawless to obey the law since the lawless far outnumber those who support constitutional rights? They have control of the government at every level and are not willing to relinquish even the smallest degree of their control. If they can intimidate / blackmail / threaten supreme court justices so what makes you believe any of that shall change? These are kneecappers and enforcers from the Chicago prohibition gangland era. They are Marxists, Communists, and Socialists. They who will go after anyone who even dare speak of justice.

You never heard of Kings X really? They were a rock band of christians out of Houston, controversial because the singer admitted to struggling with homosexuality. Another band like them and also from Houston was the Galactic Cowboys.

I had a band in the 80s that went to Austin for a label showcase....thought we had done a great show...but we had opened for Kings X and when they came on we were forgotten rather quickly. Yes, they freaking rocked!

Here's the thing for everyone who hates Tea Party or Ted Cruz. They are not quite the equal, but very much the opposite reaction to the extremism coming from the left. If you don't like Ted Cruz, then do something about the Democrats being so extremely leftist and Mr Cruz will have no reason left for existence.

But if you continue to let "your" party take America down the road to ruin unabated, this is only a small taste of what you can expect from the right going more extreme to match them.

The Tea Party is cleaning out Republicans as much as Democrats. Hate them or not, they were a force in the 2010 elections that turned the House into majority Republican, and will be a force in the 2014 elections because there are enough people fed up with Ds and Rs ruining our economy, our military, and our health care.

But if the Ds & Rs continue down this progressive (Socialist) road, America is going to take a very hard right in the near future, one way or the other. It will either be through elections or revolution, but it's coming if the LEFT doesn't start acting like the Constitution or the Law applies to them also.

It has become apparent the only thing that will wake people up to O's wannbe emperor of a coming collapsed nation is just that - economic collapse.

Every single time politicians of either party get involved with telling private business what it can and cannot do by rules and regs the price of goods and services will go up. People are in business to make money, not lose it. If pols force regs down the throat of business which drives up their costs they just pass it on to consumers.

So, now that the USA is no longer in the top 10 nations exhibiting financial freedom and stability it will not take long before it slips from the top 25 and ever lower until the nation that was on top will collapse into nothing and be taken over by who know who or what. But the world is going to look at America and laugh.

PlanetGuy the reason Ted Cruz exists is because Liberalism/Progressivism exists. The reason the Tea Party patriots exist is because people like Obama, Pelosi, and Reid exist, along with Republicans no longer feeling under the controls of the Constitution and limited govn.

The more the people who want more intrusive government and fed and state handouts to exist, the more others will fight for freedom and liberty, self-governance and free-markets.

Like Jefferson saw and said - the whole thing will expire in total loss of rights, or revolution, but it cannot continue the way it is and survive as the America our fathers and grand fathers fought to protect. That is financially impossible. It must collapse if DC is not stopped from ruining the Republic with more laws and taxes crippling the economy. That is not philosophy or rhetoric. It is history which will be repeated. It has to be. There is no other way out.

Tax and spend, rule and regulate, force private citizens to buy something they do not want = destroy the Republic.

Once despotic or lowly nations have woken up and have accepted freedom and free-markets. America is asleep at the switch and is crushing engines that once made this the hope of the planet.

Why is this so difficult for you to see? Where does it lack common sense, historical precedent, or simple economics?

If you force someone to change the way they make something, and it costs them more, they will raise the price. Now, people cry out for more money to buy things they need. So, wages drives the price of goods up again.

If you want a communist economy under total politician control, no property rights, no real liberty, why should those who do not, not rise up and protest and fight?

But the point is that we are all responsible for the people we support. If you're going to give me Obama, I'm going to going to back Ted Cruz like he's my twin brother to stop you. Wish I didn't have to but extremists need to be fought extremely. Wish we could agree that O is doing more damage to America than any President in history. Heck, even JIMMY CARTER says O is bad now. How much worse does it have to get before we start seeing some intellectual honesty from people who were once decent Democrats?

I see why Cruz/Tea party causes concern. What I don't see is concern about Holder racially profiling against white people. I don't see concern that the IRS was turned into Gestapo against conservatives. I don't see concern about the lies we were told about Obamacare, cover-ups in Bengazi, Seal Team 6, Eygpt, and a few dozen more scandals coming at us daily for 5 years now.Does that not matter? Do you like backing an Administration who is only concerned about their political ambitions (screw our military heroes and allies internationally!?) and obviously sowing racial discord to divide us?

Say what you want about the right, but we'd kick our guy out on his keister if they did the same thing. That is, in fact, the reason for the Tea Party to exist.

Until people on the left (which may not be you specifically) start making their candidates obey the same laws everyone else has to obey, then YOU (maybe not your specifically) are the problem, not Cruz nor Obama.
