When people see me playing in a club they cant believe I cuss so much!


I dont what it is, but you yell muther###ker in a club and it gets em wound up!

We play some kick ass rage or something and I always get on the mic, "Yeah, Us old motherfu@@ers can still rock!"

I usually swear during the song. Has the same effect. A few choice expletives in a bar can work wonders to wake up an audience sometimes. I don't do it to excess. (Well, maybe some people think I do.)

that's funny, john. i always associate the use of motherf##ker as strictly used by jazz guys and gals, usually in a positive and endearing way..."that mofo can play"...."damn that guys a mofo on that horn".

i find i'm often stopping myself from using it around non jazz musicians for fear of offending them!

I can't help swearing now and then, and questioning their "Christianity" when they are self-righteous SOB's I don't get along with.

I have a vile mouth. I blame it on the oilfield. I do try my best to control it. I think a man looks a fool when he curses. I so often do it's embarrassing.
