Sorry to hear about all that. Didn't know a t hing about it, if you posted anything earlier I missed it. I was in a similar position when I first joined Bandmix, helping my father the last couple of years. Had a decent computer shop but couldn't really try for any kind of job, needed to be available. Lots more to it than that, but none of it needs to be dragged out here...but on the plus side I did get to sit on the front porch and practice a lot, and got a couple of decent songs written...

Another Olympic event I'd like to see: Synchronized Belly Flopping.

Bought myself a Sony HDR-CX230 Camcorder. Pretty nice little camera. I added a bundle package that included a carrying case, a 16 gig memory card and an extra battery for $56.00 Hell an additional battery alone is about 45-50 dollars. Out the door for just over $300.00. I hope to shoot some videos and have them posted soon.

Anyone interested in a Nikon F. I have one from my old days as a photographer, these days I don't like to take pictures anymore.

I have a few lenses as well and vintage filters.

My daughter also bought a DSLR ( NikonD3200) but she wanted something to carry around with her that wasn't so bulky.

She ended up with a Sony DSC RX 100. It has a "cartoon" effect in it. You take a pic and then select the cartoon mode. My new avatar is from her camera. It sure does some strange things as well as take the best pics in the pocket camera class and the HD 1080p video is also pretty good.

I also bought a Sony Cyber Shot DSC-HX20V 18 mega pixel with a 20X zoom. You can find open box units selling for as low as $225 for a $400 camera. desirabledealz was selling them for $195.00, but I bought one and it has a big ding in the middle of the viewing screen.. I sent an email to them about it but have not received a response.

Try Ebay. I sold off all my 35mm camera stuff in 3 package deals - that's the $ I used to buy the Shure in-ear monitor system I evntually sold off (on ebay, too).

i'd go w craigslist before trying fee-bay. no shipping to deal with if ya sell it local.

and then w c-list, there's always the op to meet some crazed yahoos.
