doctors should not be in it for the pay.. that's why the whole medical care system is a disaster.. a neocon always equates success with pav and compensation that is beyond the value of the service rendered.. just the other night some old doctor well into his eighties retired.. his pay was 5 dollars a housecall, now if all doctors were like that.. a sheepskin gives them the idea they have a monopoly and can charge whatever they choose,, I'm glad Obama's next step is to cut out the crookedness of the medical healthcare industry.. just give Obama time and he will truly get affordable healthcare to the millions of citizens.. yeah, his ObamaCare has some problems but the kinks will get worked out eventually...

In your Utopian world everyone either works for free or gets paid the same. Get a clue. A doctor runs up a good many years of his life studying before he can even practice. That costs him tens of thousands of dollars. Then when he can practice, he has to pay thousands to set up a practice, and thousands more to pay for liability insurance because lawyers and judges hand our these millions of dollars in frivolous lawsuits. You will get your Utopian doctors soon enough. They will have the education of someone who works at Burger King and they will have the same skills that they guy at Burger King (that couldn't get your order right to save his life) has when it comes to treating you. OOPS I thought I was supposed to amputate his leg not put a band aid on it. Good luck with that.

How about you work for nothing. How about you give up your home and land to someone who doesn't have as much as you? How about you farm for free since people need to eat to stay alive? Maybe we should all be on minimum wage. Try finding quality workmen and service providers then. Order a hamburger at Mc Donalds without mustard or onions and see how far you get. Actually try to order anything from most of the brain dead who work at minimum wage and see how that works for ya.

Just how f8568n important do you think you are anyway that you can determine that a man should be your slave and work to serve you for nothing just because he is intelligent enough to have gotten an education that took him a dozen years to earn? And why should any nurse or the hospital staff or the administrators go to serve you for free? being a doctor should not equate to rock star or franchise pro football quarterback pay/earnings.. but sadly in todays world a doctor makes as much money as "celebrities" their pay should be regulated like any monopoly (electric utility, water works, ) used to be before Republican regimes dismantled regulatory practices.. now because they can charge 500 dollars for an aspirin they do it, nothing to stop them, nothing to keep them in check?..a lot of this corruption comes from foxes watching the hen house though, so I only partially blame doctors for raping everybody with their "pricing policies".. there was a time when MY AMERICA was more simple and genuine.. corruption is common place now, but whatever happened to the doctor house calls in the 1800's where a couple dozen eggs, or a jug of cream was traded for some doctoring.. why did it have to turn into destroying the whole healthcare system because of the greed of a few professionals called doctors?

I don't know when was the last time you've been to a VA clinic, but it has changed a lot in the last couple of years. I have had eye exams in the private sector in the last 6-10 years. I have had eye exams twice in the last 3 years in a highly upgraded facility in Lancaster, Ohio, where previously one didn't exist. They had equipment the private practices did not have. The latest equipment available, best I could tell. If you're a vet and need them, use them.

If I were President I would have introduced an entirely different healthcare system that would have kept the private and public systems separate. I would have required insurance companies to. treat ALL practitioners the SAME. In other words ALL practitioners: chiropractic, dentists, brain surgeons, osteopaths, etc. would
be "in network" equally. This would give consumers an equal choice thus all the healthcare practitioners would compete with each other on a level playing field. It is simply NOT FAIR to the "out of network" practioners. Surgery and pharmaceuticals are always given precedence. This would lower costs across the board. Second, the public system would have its own facilities, doctors and health insurance, thus competing with the private sector, further lowering costs

Good for you. It is not that way here. We have to travel at least 70 miles just for an exam and that does take months for an appointment. They used to have "Health care second to none" printed on the front of their flyer's. I wrote to them and said it sure is next to none. Yes, I gave six of the best years of my life to this country in service. I'm not getting much in return.
