Jericho March has been contacted by a label in Nashville.
Seems they want to book us to perform and discuss a CD deal.

I've not seen the official message yet. JAX received it and we will review it tonight at our band meeting / rehearsal.
I'm already suspicious . . . hell I'm always suspicious.

Please offer up prayers that this is legit.
I'd like to see us get an legitimate opportunity to make a dent in our Genre'.
A BIG dent.

More info as it becomes available.

P.S. Our lead guitar player had pulled out on Thursday due to overcommitment issues.
So the search resumes, and we go back to playing and recording as a four piece.

Good luck, hope it's for real. Just watch it, they usually plan to make a lot more money than you do...

Lead guitar gone? No problem you can do it...

Band meeting went well. The boyz have done their homework.
Checked out BBB rating is A+
Apparently have been in business since 62.
And have some pretty big names associated with them as well.

Yeah, I know this is only preliminary research, but it makes me happy that the guys have take initiative to institute some investigation.

We are going to pursue it further and hopefully, if they want us to be featured on some of their local stages they will be willing to work with us on expenses ETC.

New ground for us, any input from experience would be appreciated.

My apologies if I seem to be vague on whom is involved.
Just don't feel the situation has been adequately developed to get into specifics.

And apparently I'm going to get my chance.

Decided that if we add anyone it will have to be a keys player with some mad skilz.

Front man picked up the rhythm for one of our tunes and I ripped a lead out of my @$$ . . .
The guys were gassed. I been practicing.

Long way to go, but at least I have a direction to head into now.

Congratulations George, always exciting when industry people take interest.

Advice? Just read the mice type in the contracts very carefully, especially the "who owns the song publishing rights, and who pays for what" part. Never offer to give them any money... ever. Tally ho!

Hope it works out, George! Get a lawyer to read the contract - it's worth the money out of pocket now to not get screwed down the road.

Way to go George. I knew you could do it.

Definitely have a lawyer read any and all contracts. As much as I despise lawyers, it's a necessary evil...

nobody deserves it more than you guys.. hope this changes some of the band's out there, ideas about age being all important to industry people..who says you have to be 20 years old to get signed..
