I think what's going on is that straight people are upset because the gay people want the same rights as classically defined straight couples.
(Good luck trying to convince the world it's the same)

To me it sounds like apples and oranges, but I am a "live and let live" type of guy.

It is, by no means, the same to me but I don't understand the alternative people. It seems like a birth defect to me, like being an incorrectly wired android.

In the end I think everyone deserves a little happiness regardless.
(shrugs)

I don't see the harm, but then again I don't see 10 moves ahead in chess, either.

Gays do not bother me at all. However, for me to accept the life style as anything other than what God deems it is to call God a liar.

I am unsure if they care about GOD.
I am sure some do, but you'd have to ask every single on of them.
That could take a while.

I am unsure I can be angry about them trying to be happy.
I know that GOD SAYS NO, but there are a shitload of people ignoring god on a daily basis.

I'm just glad that no one wants to marry a monkey. LOL

As far as I know, "God" only issued 10 commandments. The rest was written by men. That's a point that a lot of people seem to forget.

Amen.
That's why there are so many 'open and affirming' churches around now (most are Unitarian Universalist).

Some people will never see, or hear sound, or never walk.
You don't get to "get married"? Tough f**k sh*t.

(Not that theres anything wrong with that :) )

There are actually 613 commandments in the Torah, and perhaps another few hundred in the New Testament.

But Israel hasn't lived in a Theocracy since the people clammored for a King "like the nations around them" and got Saul. So, before there was a King David, the Law of God was subjected to the laws of man.

Not that we have done a better job, mind you, but He simply will not impose His will on anyone. As it is written in Deut 30, everyone will reap whatever we sow. If we choose to disobey His instruction, we will get all the diseases of Egypt and be cursed. If we choose to walk in His ways, we will be blessed.

America used to be blessed. Not so much since we began removing any signs of faith from the public arena. Since that pattern has been 100% accurate throughout history, I don't think it's a coincidence.

So we have been begging for judgment many years now in the USA. We keep being judged and shaking our fist instead of bowing the knee. I've got a friend, Jonathan Cahn, who wrote a book that has been on the NYT Top 10 Best Sales for more than 75 weeks now called "The Harbinger" where he documents some unbelievable parallels between the USA and the sins that destroyed Israel.

He documents how George Washington dedicated our nation to God at the very spot of the Twin Towers, and our response to 911 was exactly what Israel did before they disappeared into captivity to Assyria. It's fascinating reading and now there is a movie being planned. You ought to check it out if you like to read.

I've got another friend, Joel Rosenberg, who has written "fiction" based on biblical prophecy that has proven to be so accurate that the Pentagon recently hired him as a consultant on Iran and Islam.

America is foolish to think we will win in a battle with God. Time will tell, for those who still mock.

Yod

Sadly, I think you nailed it. It's not just appalling and leading to a collapse. It is getting scary. I never thought all this stuff would play out so literally.

There was an excerpt from a sermon played on NPR a few years ago where a homosexual 'pastor' cursed God for not condoning his conduct. He was doubting the existence of his creator - but shaking his fist in His face.

That is damn creepy - that guy in full knowledge of how this works - chose the other side.

Weird times amigo.

Let me add a qualification, as you seem to take it as meaning - 'what if the guys/girls NEXT door...' - answer the questions based on people living 1000 miles away from you right now - you can't talk to them or see them or interact with them in any way or even know their names, just like any other strangers you don't know.

First of all assss Marriage is a biblical term HIJACKED BY GOVERNMENT. I do not disagree that 2 committed people should be denied the same rewards of human governmental fuuuuccccked upNESSS.

Second it affects me personally because I have a tiny part of the population ramming their personal agenda right up my ASSSSS.

You don't get it, and I doubt you will... YOUR PROBLEM.
