Difficult to contemplate a "first week" when we have already broken triple digits here.
After spending the last week in Kansas where a constant wind kept it comfortable in the shade even in 95 degree weather it is hard also to contemplate the outdoor shows we have already booked into August.
But I guess it is something we just deal with here in the south.
Playing in temps in access of 105 is hard. Not as hard as set up and take-down that results in being completely saturated in sweat.
Still, I'd not take for the opportunity to play.
Fortunately everything booked for July thus far is indoors.

Can't sell no heating oil in summer... Damn I hate summer.
Nothing but bbques beaches, cold beer and mostly naked women....

What am I crazy??? I love the summer!

I find it makes a huge difference when working or performing in over 100F heat.

No I had not . . . I will look into it though.
Thanks for the link and the endorsement.

When I was a kid working pipeline construction, the Mexicans I worked with showed me to put ice in a bandana and tie it around your wrist.
Would not work so good with an electric guitar in your hand though.

There was a commercial on TV for those cooling scarves this weekend, like all 'as seen on TV' things, I ignored it.
These ones are cheaper (4 for $9.18 ) : http://www.amazon.com/MiraCool-Cooling- ... roduct_top

Reviews are conflicting for both - some say they work, some say they don't.

Hot here, lower to mid 90s, but with the humidity its breaking 100 every day.

Been cutting lots of grass, my son is getting into golf, so we have been knocking balls around the yard.

I was offered a solo slot on a local festival a couple of weeks ago, but my daughter was in town for some stuff so I passed on it. Guess I am retired from music these days!
