My AK shells got up to almost a dollar a round, they are back down in the 30 cent range again now.

Haven't I expressed that God has said that He is going to being down America and bankrupt the monetary systems of the world?

That is what He told me years ago.

Who among you have a better explanation? Who has the wisdom to explain it another way? Tell us the truth, those who are wise.

America was founded on Godly principles. We have thrown God out of the public squares, we have thrown Him out of the schools, and we have thrown Him out of our lives. We murder the child that God is forming in the womb for convenience even though the child has done nothing. Then we justify our actions through excuses. Our politicians are liars, our media false prophets. Adultery is common, while marriage is scarce. We deny His sovereignty, we hate His instruction, and we curse in the name of His salvation. Our drugs deny the healing ministry of His Christ, and we deny Gods existence in our institutions of "higher learning". We have not taught our children in the way to go. His statutes have been prevented, and His laws scoffed at. We claim God does not exist until someone dies, then we all say that the deceased is at peace in heaven. Yet when we find ourselves in dire straights, we call on this non existent god to save us. We deny wisdom for foolishness and we despise His ways. Then we ask Him to bless America and protect our freedom from evil men that He has appointed to destroy it. Who could not go on endlessly about the ungodliness in America and this world system?

But then if God is a myth, then none of the above truly matters.

Reading this post halted every thought I had in my noisy mind.

Can't hide from reality.

yes, Barefott Larry, I wanted to divulge more information with what my Sporting Goods manager told me, but anytime I "pass on" third party info I am accused of being a narc, so I did not.. but since you opened the gate, I know the local Wally World Sporting Goods department manager somewhat, simply because he attends auctions quite regularly like me, and is somewhat of a competitor, since we bid against each other but JA (note the initials so I am not actually narcing JA off) told me the reason why he is always out of stock of .22 shells (yes, that's all I wanted was .22 shells, not .223 LOL!) he claimed the GOVERNMENT is buying extensive and MASS quatities of all TYPES of ammo.. now whether that is to boost the economy, or prepare for the Civil War that might be coming is anybody's guess..but the GUBBAMINT is buying all the ammo up!, maybe just to keep it out of the hands of law abiding citizens like me? ..I did score a box of 50 for free from a friend that also attends auctions very regularly, but he is more of a friend than a competitor and he just gave me 50 rounds box out of his "collection" LOL just a few days after originally posting this thread..

Different tooling is required for different caliber / types ( obviously ).
Most manufactures produce ammunition in caliber or "family" specific runs.

There is no urgency to change tooling until all the stocks of a family of cartridges is complete.

Actually Sans the highest recorded fps with a 150 grain bullet, thrown by hand, was recorded by a Yankee pitcher. The rest was history. The overall result was much less than a fast ball. Dynamic drag played a major part.

The test was aborted and forgotten... Just like flight 800.

By the way thanks for that website. I just pulled in a couple rounds of 22.
Funny thing is now I have to go pick up a couple 22 rifles. I guess those Lapua rounds have a bigger affect than most realize. At 40 pounds recoil and 9 bucks a shell... 22 sounds like a whole bunch of fun.

I do that sometimes just to annoy the purists. I personally like 40 shot clips for my "assault rifles," as defined by female ingnoramists like the dingbat that thought that all we have to do is stop selling 'clips' and once they are all empty, problem solved!

No not really. I grew up shooting simple. Revolvers, still a favorite.
Pump shotguns were much more reliable in those days ( and less costly )
Bolt action rifles such as the Winchester model 70 or Remington 700.
A magazine ( short for "blind magazine" ) was utilized on most rifles in my world, and a "clip" was the term we used to differentiate a detachable box magazine for the sake of brevity.
