Just seems to me there was more passionate arguments a few years ago, with more people participating. Maybe we're all exhausted by politics, by the deplorable state of the music biz and the economy, almost a fatalistic attitude. The only thing keeping me going is wanting to play better, sing better, get tunes tighter. I've amost given up on finding good paying gigs. I want to be a better musician, if that's possible, at my age. Everything else at this point is meaningless...

Sadly, politics is the small change of life. Both left and right (and libertarian) can see that things are all screwed up.

Ok - so what? What can we do about it?

Getting into bitter disputes with guys we'd be better off jamming with is wrong on many levels. It is not pleasant to deal with or to read, hearing those words in your head.

It's hard to work up enthusiasm for checking the forum when you expect to find that.

Let's argue the merits of Gibson v. Fender or the best way to construct a bridge. Something that matters!

This ain't the only musicians site out there Bob.I think people jump around a little bit.I think this is a good site.I never felt unwelcome.No they ain't leaving there just not visiting as much.The topics I believe is what keeps your attention.Me hell I'm just here to enjoy,learn and enjoy,and I sure have.
