Glen and Mr. Haley

Read that article again with no political filters in place. Just the facts.

I did. And looking squarely at it I reached this conclusion:

f**k that cop. I don't care if he wants to go home at night. If he is a pu**y then take off that costume and go sell shoes or learn a programming language.

I have had my share of 'situations' and I can say that yes, I know what I'd do in a such a situation. I also know that guys like that cop make very bad partners. And appallingly bad police officers.

Real men protect women. They don't ignore them in a frantic attempt to save their own miserable hides.

Accidents happen - it sucks, but there it is. We can all accept that. This was no accident.

Dumping eight shots of rapid fire in a situation where a girl is being used as a shield...no...that doesn't meet the credibility test. I'd rather have no cops at all. A least the girl would have had a chance had the cop not been there.

A cop that puts his Kevlar protected ass as more important than a young girl; I call that man a bitch. Sorry.

YOU MISSED THE WHOLE POINT!

That asss should never have been on the street. We have a governor that has made "UGLY" guns illegal. Law abiding citizens are not only being incriminated, but being forced to watch as criminals are being given favored status. Sorry Mike, I could go out and buy an illegal handgun at 1/2 the price of obeying the law. I wouldn't do that. However the laws in place MUST STOP a CAREER CRIMINAL such as this guy... His name is name was Miller... From perpetrating such bulllshit.

By the way... That cop saved 3 other people.

Mr Governor... Guilty as charged... Please resign!!!!

You are one real tough badasss motherfuucker Jimmy.

You would be dead if you were in the same position. Think about the balls it took to walk into a situation like that.

Think about how bad that cop feels right now, even though he saved 3 others.

You love to sit on the sidelines and sit in judgment... COOL DUDE.
(sarcasm at it's worst)

The second one is this... A violent parolee is released... Home invades an apartment. Subdues 4 persons at the threat of death.

Does any one realize the balls it takes to run into a situation... when you KNOW SOME ONE WILL FIRE ON YOU.

Even the best military experts will tell you that returning fire is at best 50%

This cop wanted to go home that night. HOW CAN YOU BLAME HIM?

He is deeply remorseful... He will be second guessing the rest of his life.

Mean while... How did the GOVERNOR, of the GREAT STATE OF NEW YORK... ALLOW ANOTHER KILLER OUT ON THE STREETS?

I'll tell you how. HE WAS TO BUSY TAKING GUNS AWAY FROM PEOPLE LIKE ME... THAT WOULD NEVER, EVER DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS!!!

CUOMO,,, GO FUUCK YOURSELF. YOU KILLED THAT BEAUTIFUL YOUNG LADY!!!

Its an awful situation to be thrust in... I will say though, A trained marksman could have and should have done it in one shot. Two taps maximum. That is something I would be very hard on any policeman about... He/she has no business toting a weapon and badge if he's/she's an amatuer...

The best marksmen in the world will tell you it is completely different when some one is shooting back.

The Army and the Marine corp had to completely revise their training after WW2. 1 in 10 men were actually able to fire in response to being shot at.

The point here is not about this cop who will have to live with missing one shot... For the rest of his life.

This is about government gone wild. The CEO of my state should have never allowed this MANIAC out on parole.

Let's put the blame where it really belongs... MR GOVERNOR, RESIGN... OR BE PROSECUTED!

Ever been fired on . . . ever even looked down the barrel of a weapon pointed at you ? It's no fracking picnic . . .
Police are not as well trained as many believe.
Most of the tactics they are taught will get you killed in a real fight.
They are NOT soldiers, most will never draw their weapon, even fewer have ever been fired on to learn how to adjust mentally.
It's a damn shame this poor guy will have to deal with this stress for the rest of his life.
But I disagree in part . . . he pulled the trigger . . . not the politician.

And yes . . . there should never be a repeat offender.

Ever.

Are you suggesting you have the right...

To take away my first amendment rights...

Sir you have a very twisted and distorted view of freedom. From what you have writen continuously I doubt that you deserve any. You should truly re-think your position.

I could just say go FUUCK YOURSELF... But I wont. I could just call you a scholarly DUMBASSS, but I wont... I could just call you a treasonous beowolf to the values that founded our great nation, but I wont.

You got a problem dude... It aint drinking, or womanizing, or even being a poor guitar player. NOOOO you don't fit in to any of that.

You are just one smart mutha fucckin dude that doesn't understand a freaking thing about human nature and control and the whole reason why your sorry asss is so protected in this great country because so many great men were willing to die to preserve FREEDOM.

AND YOU DON'T GIVE A CRAPP!

Not a peep out of Jimmy. A DAY LATER!
I actually wish you, the best, man, but all you want is to send our country down a path that is proven to fail. I don't feel you have any answers. Just brutal, vicious attacks, that you can supply when it is convenient.

I sincerely hope you take your intelligence, and step outside the box of all the twisted thinking that you have been exposed to.

Sans I appreciate your opinion. I agree and I disagree.

We have become so civilized that we actually post signs.

THIS IS A WAR ZONE. YOU MAY BE TERMINALLY INJURED.
Any persons entering understand the rules of war.

This was basically a civilian. There were no signs.
Training or not he was conditioned to do his best.
His failure can only be accounted for due to the fact that he is human
Yes it is a tragedy.

Far worse is the effort of OUR government to disarm legal law abiding citizens with out addressing the truth about maniacs running around with out the approval of the people.

Be advised - that WW2 study about men not shooting has been pretty much debunked.

The Problem: our marksmanship training was badly flawed. We taught men to shoot when they had a target. Yeah...nonsense. The killing is done by artillery and mortars - groundpounders shoot to keep the other guy's head down until they can call in nastiness on them. Truth is, you can't see much on the modern battlefield and if you look too hard you'll wish you hadn't.

Patton tried to remedy this lack of shooting by pushing for marching fire - as you move forward you put down continuous fire aimed generally in the direction of the enemy. (kind of like the Germans did!)

Problem #2 - our infantry weren't very good. Sorry but there it is. We pushed all the smart guys into the air force and Navy - put all the tough motivated guys in the Airborne and Marines, put the mechanical types in armor or transport. What's left?

Well, they'd missed some smart guys so they put them in ASTP - a college course for gosh sake!

So the infantry - who take ninety percent of the casualties, were usually not very good. They got worse after taking the first hundred percent casualty rates in the line companies. Some US units lost well over 100 % of the men in the rifle companies - then replaced them with guys who were poorly trained, didn't know anybody and were killed at a horrific rate.

(if you doubt my facts research the combat record of the 90th Infantry division in Normandy)

Somebody finally noticed we needed better infantry and pulled the ASTP guys out of school and sent them to the front. Luckily for the US Army, we'd starting getting pretty good by about the time of the Battle of the Bulge.

There's more but I'm tired of typing.

Everybody thinks you have to shoot to kill. But any Cost-accounting minded Colonel will tell you its better to wound an enemy... Think about it... One frag or bullet gouges a guy's gut, and at least comrades are on him to drag him to safety... (in thoery). You do that long enough, the enemy cant take the time they need to launch a forward offensive. It truly an artful way to disable an enemy, take the hill an dthe flag and not feel so damn guilty about it.
