I heard that 'God is Dead' song the other day. Just when I was about to get annoyed I realized this was a thoughtful and jumping tune.

However, when little old ladies are in the lanes next to me and Ozzie's shouting , "God is dead!" I turn it down!

Re militarization of the police - you nailed it - that's just what I was getting at. I went to a gun show today and instead of local cops it was Sheriff's dept. Most were too big, very impressed with themselves and way over the top in their turnout. You'd have thought they were a swat team. But why not right? It feels cool...

Talbot ... Thank you very much for your interesting Post. What you have related is an excellent comment upon the current "dressing up" of the police as they continue to be militarized ... sunglasses and bald heads ... many need utility belt girdles ... and perhaps a lolly pop ? The world is on the verge of "blowing out" I feel.

My Wife teaches 5 to 6 year olds and just this morning showed me some music videos her "kids" are all playing and dancing to now "for fun" and often with their parents full "consent". I urge everyone to check out the videos and the lyrics as well on Y-Tube. If you do I would like very much to hear what you think.

Also for very different reasons check out Black Sabbath's "God is Dead". The video and music and lyrics are excellent I feel ... a pleasant surprise. Bowie's "Next Day" single and video is on the other hand ... for me disappointing. I expected something more after a decade of silence and "work" and "development" ... from him. But ....

Well I am interested to hear what others may think about these as well... with regard to what is now at this moment transpiring. Pyramids ...Triangles ... eyes ... horns ... and the usual.

Glen seems to be absent. I hope all is well with him.

I'm here. I'm just disgusted with the abuse of power, from our government... And the absolute stupidity of the people.

I realize most of you don't deserve any freedom. You are not willing to protect it, nurture it, nor even understand it. Way too many sanction the cruelty of humanity to man. Far to many believe the government is the end all power, and that this is O.K. It is the law. The abuse of the law has usurped the original intention of the American constitution. Control of the government from the people and by the people.

We have sunk so low that we have allowed a government to control any thing you can think of. Laws have become so complex that compliance is impossible... Government agencies are going after dissenting groups, the law is being applied "AS NEEDED", cover ups are normal, and it is O.K. to violate all your constitutional rights.

Just for the record, our government is already in a position to, SHUT YOU, THE FUUCK UP. No loud music, no explicit or offensive lyrics, and no freedom. Stick your head in the sand, you leave your butt in the air. (Thanks Hayden).

Wasn't this the case 30, 40, 50 years ago? 100 years ago?

Your rights have always been usurped. During WW1 it was the espionage act, later it was prohibition, and then it was rounding up japanese americans, who were citizens. You yourself would willingly round up any musilm citizens. Every right ever violated was a "just cause" for somebody, and that somebody always had enough support not to end up in the history books in the same light as hitler (and none committed genocide), but your rights? It's an illusion, always has been always will be.

Remember the 60's? Black people couldn't vote or use white bathrooms. Interracial marriage was illegal. Remember the 70's? Curfews, curfews curfews. Everywhere. The 80's it was the war on drugs, used to start the prison population, which today leaves us with 5% of the worlds total population but 24% of the worlds total jailed.

I don't recall you being upset when GWB was violating constitutional rights.

The "governments" that have existed in all nations of the world down through the centuries ... have had their bloody and filthy hands elbow deep in almost every aspect of "their" citizens lives. Does it need a litle help with what some may call "drastic steps" ... not recognizing the "need" for the government to "effectively look after" it's prospective citizens as well as those existing ... giving them "specialized" medical care ... It is done in a clever and effective way I feel ... as many of their older songs. Here is what I wrote to Purple regarding it when he told ma about it.
Purple ...I watched the vid ... is the one you spoke of the one with the TV and dated nuclear Bomb tests ? The lyrics are awesome and very "in touch" and prophetic. They express a great clarity with respect to what is going on. Of course I agree with your appraisal of the music ... classic and enjoyable. Vocals were way too electronicized but understandably so considering their source ... too bad his original voice was very unique, powerful and expressive now it is like listening to some idiot who smoked far too much and had his voice box removed as they die from cancer... like my Father. Guitar leads were classic, good and acceptable but once again one expects a bit more I feel ... pushing the elemental box and demonstrating an expert, experienced and enlightened developmental expression an a higher and profound evoking level ... but no. However rather awesome considering all as you so aptly pointed out and destined to live in the place carved out in the perpetual and never-ending sound record. I personally feel that it is not so much a question of Rights as it is of Responsibility. This is entirely recognized now and especially with respect to the US Constitution. I doubt that if "leaders" and citizens actually took responsibility seriously then the incompetence, greed, rampant stupidity and outright Evil would never have reached the extent it now has.

We are generally all aware of what you state I feel with reference to what actually happened under the direction of the political filth which is now more pervasive than it has ever been. I could be wrong but your statement of the obvious is not taken issue with by most but attempting to utilize this in a sparring match with Glen is not beneficial to any.

All this is just another clear demonstration of basic Truths ... everything is an Illusion ... but there is Right and Wrong ...Good and Evil. "All You Need Is Love " is indeed most applicable.

The importance of Freedom should be obvious to all and so should the brilliance of the Founding Fathers and their splendid gift ... The U. S. Constitution ... to us all. They even have provided us with a clear plan to deal with the creeping parasites, fetid scum and Evil that currently proliferates plaguing us all. It is just a matter of getting together and acting with clear purpose and plan.
