Rehearsal tonight and Friday with Dover Soul, Wednesday with The Farleys. Rehearsal May 22 with The Farleys, May 23 with Dover Soul. Gigs on May 25 and May 31 with Dover Soul, June 8 with The Farleys. In between time trying to get the yard and pool in shape. I'm busier than a long-tailed cat in a room full of rockers.

Busy is good. And while "we" are having to pass on opportunities due to "personal commitments" . . . some of which lead me to wonder if we are all still on the same page.

Thanks Jimmy . . . exactly what I'm trying to do.

Even in that it helps to voice some frustrations amongst those whom have understanding.

George

My brother and I played together in several bands in FL, GA area. We started to feel like dumb asses since we were totally focused and the other guys, well...not so much.

An example - we had a passable singer in Atlanta and had done a few decent gigs - then he quits. Why? Because he had earned enough $$ to pay for his stripper wife's breast implants. We were at his house celebrating a good gig when he dropped that little bomb.

But wait there's more: He called his wife out and asked if we'd like to see her boobs! You never saw two country boys hit the door so fast!

Sometimes though, if you are going to play at all - you have to put up with other people's 'different' priorities. I hate it though. I'm thinking of grabbing a bass job in a cover outfit just to be playing, and the thought of dealing with all that sh*t again is pretty depressing.

So . . . did she have nice tits or what ?

I get your point, thanks Mike.

Jimmy, I'm really happy for you.
I did not intend for my grumbling to rain on your parade.
I know you've had your share of musical ups and downers.

Enjoy the up brother, really really enjoy it!

Ah, but what page?
The worldly, career page? Or, a page not of your writing?

Obviously the question we each must ask of ourselves.

Surf the waves of life, you might wipe out but it's a hell of a ride!

Just added a benefit for Dover Sole on June 9 (the day after our Farleys gig). It's just one set in the afternoon so I think I can handle that. Benefits are good to do occasionally but not regularly.

We just picked up "Fire Woman" by the Cult last night, Johnny sounds amazing singing it.

Yes Jimmy, thank you. I was finally able to come to a decision to just let the Lord deal with it, and not get myself all worked up.
Certainly the opportunity will arise in a manner where I can reiterate too all concerned the "rules of engagement" that apply to being a member of this mission.
And anyone unable or unwilling to comply will be given an opportunity to consider their position before any decisions are reached.
