wow.. just feel the roid rage in here..
Glad all you guys were so successful in ridding the world of it's bully population....
Bottom line is bullies usually pick on kids younger, and half their size/strength. In most cases, the one kid who chooses to stand up to the bully usually gets his ass kicked all over the playground, much like that kid in philly who died. Nobody knows what provoked the bullies, but maybe he was dumb enough to stand up to them earlier in the hallway?
Bottom line here is that most kids who are severely bullied only risk further bullying and physical abuse. They learn to avoid the bullies more than anything else. By doing so, it affects their everyday life, and if you think they don't carry that baggage into adulthood, then you are sadly mistaken.
have some goddam compassion. I was bullied in grades 7-8, always by older kids, and much bigger kids. They traveled in pairs and packs.. The one time I did stand up to one when he was alone, he needed no help kicking the sh*t out of me..
Fortunately I beefed up in the 9th grade and was for the most part able to take care of myself, but a few other "scrawny" kids didn't fare so well. Some learned to avoid, others weren't so lucky. Do you think it got any easier for them after high school? Nope.
