the federal reserve makes it possible for the US to fund endless social welfare programs it could not otherwise afford.

"Six Lessons I Learned From The Iraq War"
by four-term President George W. Obama

1. Consulting the tax cattle.. erm.. public.. before launching wars is totally unnecessary. The public just needs a few year's worth of mainstream news media programming to get them on-board.

2. The evildoer dictator-worshiping protesters will mostly originate from the "opposing" political faction. For example, the D's got their panties in a bunch when I launched the invasion of Iraq, but had no problem with me dropping bombs on Tripoli some years later when I switched that R next to my name with a D.

3. The United Nations and international systems of checks and balances are the longest running joke here in Washington and we've learned not to take any of that nonsense too seriously.

4. A stagnant economy and a rotting education system ensures a constant supply of fresh volunteer recruits to fight and die for the interests of corporations and global hegemony... did I say corporations and global hegemony? What I meant of course was freedom and democracy.

5. "War crimes" and "terrorism" are extremely subjective terms. Polluting an entire city with depleted uranium and subsequently causing mass-birth defects and widespread cancer is humanitarian and kind, not a war crime, and definitely not terrorism!

6. Unlike you, citizen, I can kill 100,000 innocent people and not only get away with it, but get away with it while still being widely celebrated and honored as a hero.

liberals are in such a quandary these days,
they constantly have to dream up ways of protesting the establishment their defending.

Mike I have to agree. Even more important, you have tremendous talent twisting and turning just about anything.
I bet you could sell sunglasses to a 90 year old blind man just because he would look so cool he would father another 100 children with 50 young 20 somethings.

You do have a major talent Mike. I'm not making fun of you.

Humans, no matter what country, race, creed, or background, when given opportunity without oversight or regulation will enslave their peers, rape their environment, and ultimately destroy the teet that feeds them. This is observed by more than 2000 years of documented human history.

For anyone to believe that any unregulated system, much less capitalism that rewards greed and apathy, can, or ever will be anything but a cancer on society and humankind is completely insane.

Yet, right now, at this point in history, it would seem that it's the only thing we believe in.

It's the "100 year mentality".

"If everything is going to be ok for the next 100 years (their lifetime) it's ok to f**k the Earth in her butt hole as many times as they like".

But oh no if it's going to last 100 years and 1 day, we might have a problem "Mission Control".

Pack of short sighted dimwits that are only interested in their own affairs and getting yet another raise to make their 2000$ a week for doing very little even more rewarding so that they can throw away money on lavish vacations, illegal drugs and foreign prostitutes.

"Hey count me in, I won't live more than 100 years either".

Let's irradiate the entire Earth. Oh boy !!! Sounds like fun. :(

I've been reading about republican Rome (not those republicans guys!) and have been a bit depressed by their failure to live up to their ideals, occasional massacres, plunderings and atrocities that were sort of par for then.

The early Romans, like us, paid lip service to virtue.

But the actual modern day world?! Bush and Obama - two sides of the same appalling coin. Everything crumbling...massacres all over the place yet all the big shots blather about morals and ethics and hurtful language.

It's like a phuquing horror film! You keep wanting to shout, "No assholes! Don't do that!"

Gone is the handshake and being taken for your word. I mean it's f**k ing gone!!! And for good now that its become the other side of being an American citizen...which isn't very American at all. I haven't seen too many "Americans"...especially the ones from America. Very un-American parents helped that by not teaching values, but you have to have values first, right?
