Wow I can't believe someone would be dumb enough to slam a MIJ strat.

I've had a few, MIU, MIJ, MIK, MIM and the MIJ ones simply seem to made a little bit better. Maybe it's because they beat their workers (and starve them) but they do seem better to me.

Don't get me wrong, I like the "Made in the USA" stuff but something about the right style slim v neck/7.25 radius MIJ makes them special. Even stock all you really need to do is shield the body cavity and I don't even do that much. I even like the stock MIJ pickups.

Conversely I've had 3 MIM strats now and disliked them all.
Sure it's true you can gut them and replace/substitute parts but they never feel good to me. Even worse, the MIM stock strat pickups are generally a joke. They are only 2 bar magnets with the poles floating freely in the middle.

Talk about being set up to fail...MIM strats are substandard as a rule. (imo)

BUMP. Wow the silence is deafening... From Jimmy and Mark. That includes all the others that want to call it gun control.
It is NOT GUN CONTROL! IT IS POPULATION CONTROL.

Control in the hands of an American that can decide to kill an American with the wave of a pen and sign an executive decree, bypassing every moral law, court, or any other common sense dictated by the KNOWING community of society.

Is our vice president serious?

Mike, hello. You have done the exact same thing I was saying.

What does this have to do with religion?

This is pure politics and you just steered this in a completely different direction. I think it's funny!

Grant, this was actually a very serious topic. Did you read any of this?

Homeland security has purchased 4 million dollars of practice targets that depict men women children and babies.

Our federal government has purchased as much 223 and 762 as was available. More than enough to fight WW2 50 times over. All this to stop ammo flowing into private hands.

Stuff is happening here in N.Y. At a faster and faster pace. The latest one is a state senator that wants every gun owner to post a million dollar bond. This bill is up for vote, without any democratic concern or mention. This is being done behind closed doors WITHOUT THE CONSENT OF THE PEOPLE!!!!!
I knew this was coming.
A million dollar bond translates into another 2 grand a year to posses any weapon.
Turn in your guns.

Dawg, when you start talking guitars in a very serious thread, I have to question your motivation

Sorry dude.

OH BY THE WAY.

To add insult to injury... Every small mom and pop motor carrier is being asked to do the same thing and post a bond. Another yearly cost.

Funny thing is, this is the reality of trickle down economics, EVERY AMERICAN WAS JUST HIT WITH ANOTHER HIDDEN TAX!!!!

Alas Glenny... It appears I accidentally didn't manage to hijack this thread... :? I was responding to Scotty's post on Strats. But Glenny , I will openly admit...My Weapon of choice is not guns and ammo... Its Guitars and strings :)

Homeland security sucks, and is by far the closest thing to a bonafide Nazi regime that ever landed in America. While you are noticing the P.O. of so much Ammo, I'm noticing that the price of everything , include food has been shooting through the roof. 5 bucks for a loaf of bread, here in EP. Gas teeters between 3.50 and 4.00 bucks a gallon. Since the death of Hostess, more pastries are turning up on the shelves with increased saturated fat.
Every fkn thing built or serviced in the US has become a useless piece of sh*t, thanks to the absolute absence and consideration of quality, and lack of zeal to stand apart in meaningful ways, from others.
Roads are falling apart... In El Paso, Texas, we rank at 4/5 of the most illiterate folks in the country... I cringe at that... In Michigan, some hospitals STILL honor white folks request to Not allow black folks to treat them... I cringe at that. New York has the only mayor in the world trying to tell me, in Texas, what I can eat or not Eat... I cringe at that... Wash DC has broken the meter for incompetent leadership. Were talking the winner of the "I'm so fkn stupid that I try to fold liquid paper" triathlon. Seriously, when the fk did it become okay to allow for a 'Learn it on the job" leader for president??

Glenny, I absolutely understand your concerns... Do you know what 12 oz of cyanide can to a large city. HS can buy all the fkn ammo they want... all that proves is that they are trying to reenact a conventional and highly outdated battle tactic... Every one of those MFs can be wiped out in the realm of a 24 hour cycle... Who they gonna shoot then?

Actually, I've read about the presidency (and running for political office in general) a bit.
The presidency is such a unique position among American institutions that EVERYONE "learns it on the job."
It is just the nature of the office.
There is no standard set of skills that will determine how well someone does it.
Every president has used their own skills and talents differently, with different approaches to managing the position.

Okay, Its one thing to get bearings on the mechanisms of the Oval office... That's understandable... But its quite another to step in, with a complete lack of leadership skill...such that every decision you make for the country is more of a crap-shoot, than a determined element of a solid plan for the country. And Look at Congress... These guys walk in with full conscious knowledge that its a gravy train. AT best they are posers, pretending to know whats good for the country, while at the same time, looking like a deer in the headlights about what actually IS good for the country. America needs it ass whipped so harshly, that it will no longer be a debate about things like a defense budget, housing budget and so on. If you are poor, Mike, there really is a very strong possibility that no matter what you do on your part, you still wont get a leg up, because of what elected officials are doing on their part.
As for t 911/HS and all that...what was that saying: "I looked for the enemy , and I discovered that it was me..."
