Fear Factory has some great stuff, but I liked when they had Dino.

I'm sort of digging their new stuff a little bit more than their stuff with Dino. Dino was at his best in Excruciating Terror.

I do not know much about the band, I should really check them out more so. The thing that annoys me is playing their music, I think it was "Invisible Wounds" that I went to play, and it was in some kind of like A tuning or some crap, I was like, "My sh*tty First Act cannot handle that, it'll snap!" That's life.

In fact, I am going to go listen to them now.

Peace out, GuitarAnatomy.

They play in Drop A (7 string guitar, top string dropped). The main thing about most of their riffs is open open fret open in weird rhythms and triplets.

I am going to have to get a 7 string some day and try it, lol. Man, I hate that, the 7 string songs break your back if you only own a 6 string guitar. I have seen some people improvise on a 6 string for a 7, but it is definitely not the same, and it is too much thinking for me to do (Way too lazy).

I play often in Drop B, but Drop A... Lol. Just let it keep getting lower, I will just hold the guitar by its strings, who needs the guitar strap, lmao.

Peace, GuitarAnatomy.

Whenever I do some Fear Factory jams, I just put my guitar in Drop B, because it's close enough and I usually keep my guitar in the C std tuning.

That is cool, may have to do a bit of improvisation though. I love Drop-B tuning and C#, really rocks. You get a melodic tone for softer verse passages and yet this heavy metal tone for choruses and gutsy riffs.

Sevendust uses Drop-B a lot to my knowledge, I love that band.

Peace out, GuitarAnatomy.
