To each an everyone of you guys, gals, ,,, thanks so much for the moral support... :)

We got our work cut out for us...I'm extremely privileged to work with these guys... They have been doing this a long long time...and so they are like sage, wise-guys, passing on the torch. They are coaching me along the way...I feel totally honored by it...

The project leads us to the Timberon Blues Festival (Timberon NM) at the end of this coming July. The festival is relatively a new event for that community. But they draw interesting tourism and this really puts a nice twist on that experience.

Over the course of the next few months, were gonna guinea-pig the open mic audiences at the King's X with our originals and a few covers. By the time we finish eating all the salad, we should be tight and ready to go for the Festival. That's the plan.

I am stoked! :D

LOL Yep we thought about that and we decided that as long as my picture ain't in it, nobody will be offended...or disappointed, whichever! ;)

Note, I still maintain The BluePoetSouls, but they are in hiatus right now ( since everybody in it bailed (all two of us).

As a note of Interest: Wes, The lead guitarist for our new band, has a sister, (Edna Gunderson) , who is covering the Grammy's (Reports for USA today and a couple of others). Edna is the only reporter, whom Bob Dylan will allow to interview. She also has an relationship with The Macca people (Has extensively interviewed Paul McCartney, several times)

How cool is that!?

way cool, bro! However, when I saw the title of the thread, I thought it was going to be about a Southern Gospel Quartet.

Knowing a music reporter will be helpful in many ways. Her job is to know what's going on in the biz and who is doing it. It's only one person's opinion, but it's an informed person.

Seems a little weird that you and I both have made connections to McCartney and Dylan in the last week though.

"McCartney and Dylan" sounds like a good album.

Dylan is one of those guys who is better appreciated through the lens of other artist's performances. The Byrds and Jimi were the best at this.

Ehh it's just "gimmies" they passed on to me...seems my old visuals weren't good enough? (shocked look) lol (news to me)

Sorry about the last post, Klug.

I meant to insert a question mark on the end of that as in " you think Klug is creepy"? Hell you're the last person I would think is creepy..

I am creepy.. LOL but in a good way.. (if there is such a thing)

Matter of fact I was going to say something similar as Klug about Peg's statement, but I know people would be lining up to kick meh in the ho-ho. LOL

I still kind of wished I blurted that out.. LMAO (burrrpppp) excusez-moi

Grateful Dead IMHO .... they did back him up on some tours .... probably had more Dylan in their reg lineup than most bands .....
I do like Jimi's cover of dylan a ton though

>???? If you say so.. idk what that is..(kirlian)

Sh!t Dane, don't sweat it.
People call me everything including "asshole"...until I start fixing their crappy music du jour. You'd be surprised how many people don't get intervals and 1-3-5-(7-9-1).

Afterwards they think something magic occurred. (I wish)
No magic, all ear..."done, done on to the next one.."

Now if I could just wrap my head around the significance of the circle of 5ths, I might feel like I knew something-something. lol (alas I do not)

"Call me whatever you like, but don't call me late for dinner".

Meanwhile back at the farm, I just finished my last tune and I got, "there is no room for acid blues here". (Eat me, I am a Hoagie MFERS)

So I said, "just pass me my bass then, please... ok? ok!!!!" lol

Music is a lot like Math, either you get it or you don't.
Some have a little talent, but you have to study to be good at it and that's why I am only a fledgling. (I hate math and "Theory of a Deadman/System of a Down" Blechhh..)
