CAn a pistol bullet stop a Panther tank?

Nope.

But we dropped tens of thousands of one shot 'Liberator' pistols over Europe. That one shot would stop a German soldier. A soldier who had a submachine gun or rifle.

then the machine gun or rifle could be used to take a rocket launcher from several soldiers.

The question then changes: "Will a PanzerFaust rocket launcher take out a Panther tank?" Answer = yes.

For extra credit lookup 'stinger' and 'manpad.'

btw JimmyD - Don't we have Apaches in Afganistan? Those bloody people must have surrendered years ago. Wait...! Oops. 4th Generation War is rarely unsuccesfal againt the tyranical regimes against whom it is waged.

Dreadfully vulger though, and most certainly, untidy.

I can't understand how this all got so twisted.

I had a GREAT time freezing my lower anterior sections off. I got to blow of some great shells. Sot of like being in the middle of professional fireworks show. Just as much fun... except suddenly Jimmy decides we should have a sword fight.
I guess he has problems he doesn't face... I certainly wouldn't take him out shooting... I wouldn't come back.. :(

Really Glen. You don't understand? Do you remember writing this?

"Actually there is enough "ammo" and individual guns in America to STOP our military from waging a successful war against Americans. This scares the hell out of any liberal with thoughts of control and take over. CAN'T BE DONE!"

You are the one that started that crap. You and Haley love to start crap and then claim innocence. You hate when people like me call you out. I'll say it again: if you idiots tried to wage a war against my country I would take you out myself.

Did you hit your head?

No one said anything about waging war on your country.
What he said was that there is enough ammo and enough guns in the civilian sector to successfully defend against a tyrannical military assault.

The 'Military' are American citizens too, ya know? They're not robots.

"Oh I'm just doing my job, so I'll shoot my cousin, the Andersons from down the street, some homeless people from downtown... No problem, Sir!"

Desertion rates could reach fifty percent or higher.

Why would you think anyone would stand in a line a fire their pea-shooters at any aircraft or mechanized weapon?
Guerrilla warfare. You may have heard of it?

That reminds me I need to find a place I can sight in my .22, maybe a couple of rounds through the .243...haven't shot it in a while.

60's here too but drizzly all day. George, how about all that wind last week? Fun huh. We had around 40mph wind for a while, I heard Longview got worse than that. Thought about you but couldn't call, no phone time. Fortunately, no damage. Couple of smallish limbs fell, that's about it. Lots better than last time, tree fell on my mother's roof. 6 or 8 holes in the roof, broken eaves and rafters, we're getting things together now to replace that half of the roof.

What really sucked was we had a guy here the same day to cut down the very same tree, he couldn't do it because of the wind. You can't get in a bucket truck in 50mph winds, not if you have a choice anyway. I don't think even the electric company would ask anyone to do that...

I've been doing cleanup for the past 2 weeks, we had 5 dead pines cut down, I'm keeping a burn pile going almost non stop. I might have it all cleaned up in 2 months...smallest one was about 14" diameter. I have a huge pile of dead pine to burn...not to mention get a garden started, bluebird boxes to build, at least 3 acres in need of clearing...

Maybe one of those pine logs would make a decent backstop to sight in the .22...Actually have 2 of them to do, one with a scope, one open sights. Have the ammo...
