Thank you.
On my way to see her and spell my father soon as the truck is warmed up.
Next goal . . . pain management without morphine.
When I walked out of the hospital late last night they were busy screening all the vampires streaming in the doors with a metal detector and pat down.
Less that 1% of these dope head bastards have any intent of paying a dime for the care they will receive according to hospital statistics.
People suck . . .

My mother got incorrectly diagnosed with Cancer and they had her on the oral morphine. (as needed)
My douchebag Aunt showed up at my mother's place and gave her some wine that set her over the edge. The next thing you know..she gave her 13 cc's of that grape Morphine crap before I could get there and stop her.
The next thing I know, she was "nodding out" every 30 seconds.
It was really bad, I didn't know what to do.
Eventually it wore off and I summarily flushed that crap down the toilet.
Later after a whole shitload of blood work, they figured out that she really didn't have malignant Cancer. The tumor was benign.
But that liquid morphine sh*t was long gone down down the sewer pipe.
Unless you really are dying, you never want to give that sh*t to anyone you love. All you have to do is start to like that crap and your life is toast, I don't care who you are.
I'm not fond of pain, but I'd rather tough it out for a while than deal with that bullshit.
"Dope Head Vampire" is actually a very accurate description.
Those people are better off dead, than "undead". lol
Hmm there might be a tune in there as well..

Folk near 90 and anesthesia don't mix well.
Seems I might have to smack some heads together to get her the therapy she needs. ( thanks osama been president )
So be it.
90??? God Bless. Go give her a kiss from every one here!
Any one want to argue?
Don't argue with a stupid person. They will pull you down to their level... And beat you with experience..."Samuel Langhorne Clemens"
When they removed a golf ball sized tumor from her liver, they kept her under for "extra time" so that they could ask us for permission to remove it.
I told the dr that is she had any lasting effects, he'd need an operation to fix his hands after I was done running them over with my Jeep.
She's 86 and she didn't come out of a drug induced fog that lasted a little more than a week. (Was she mad after she came to? LOOK OUT !!!)
The anesthesiologist was this nice Indian woman but she was a jackass.
I spoke to her in private and she begged me not to "make waves".
I laughed at her. I told her that as long as things work out, we wouldn't have any issues.
But god help you if Ma stayed a piece of broccoli because you kept her under for over 3.5 hours at 86 years of age.
Post Op Delirium, rgr that..x1000.
Visit often and watch/monitor as much as possible.
She's lucky to have you to monitor activities.

I had a discussion with the Anesthesiologist and the CRNA just prior to the operation.
We all, including my mother let them know that she had difficulty in recovery as a history.
Very pleased today, mother was quite lucid, and her pain was minimal.
We will be moving her tomorrow to a facility where she can receive the PT & OT she deserves and the bastards at the local hospital refuse to provide.
My father was quite adamant that I not start any sh*t today with the "case managers". He was right of course. They will get their turn to be throw away citizens soon enough. And they have earned it with their greed.
I thank God that He has rearranged my families dynamics over the last several months, I have no doubt to free me to be available to be there for my parents, as they have always been there for me.

Hi Sans,
Bit late, but apologies. Hope your Mother's ailments heal well and soon. My Mother had a fall some years ago and which worsened an already bad situation. She's not with me now, but I know she is not far away.
Your Mother is here, and I hope she gets on that mending road real soon. What a grand age, well done!
Happy New Year to her Sans, and be well too yourself.
Cheers

Perfect. I prayed again today for her George.
Thank you all . . .
Mother is again stronger and more clear of mind today.
We have moved her from the hospital to a SNF withing minutes of her home.
She should begin her physical therapy on Wednesday.
As soon as she and my father can safely manage her transfer and mobility issues on their own. I will take her back into her own home and establish some home health and continued therapy there.
Again . . . much thanks for all your support in this difficult time.
