Guys;

On any night, an estimated 671,850 Americans experience homelessness.

That is a fact we learned from One Warm Coat.

This week we reached out and partnered with One Warm Coat for a coat drive. We are donating $1 for each new registration at http://woisio.com

If you needed people to enter your stupid contest, you're homeless too. LOL

I've been homeless. It was a price I paid to get set up in Atlanta. There is a nice stone park bench in buckhead that was my 'home' for a while. A self inflicted wound and worth it.

But I didn't consider myself screwed - rather it was Talbot doing what it took to do what I wanted to do.

Later, much later, I worked in a homeless ministry and found it a dead end street. Those folks have my symphathy but 99% are either substance abusers in a big way, or people with severe mental problems.

It won't be fixed. Thanks to our wonderful leaders in govt and industry we'll soon produce higher end homeless people and that will make it all better...

As to the coat ministry - I've given away a few and probably will again. But I do any charity either personally or through my church.

My girlfriend and I have both been homeless.
We've lived on the brink of homelessness for many years as well.
Not an experience we want to repeat.

That ain't nothin. Just wait until "dictator light" finishes steamrolling our economy into the landfill.

After the first of the year you won't even feel your wallet in your pocket it will be so empty. There are soooooooooooooooo many new taxes headed our way that we'll all be screwed. When the big New Years Ball reaches the bottom of the pole you better make a wild grab for the Vaseline.

this guy had a music contest posted last week, and I railed it, he took down the post. A new contest this week disguised as charity? disgusting.

When I was younger and a we bit too drunky I slept in a few parks. Other than that I have always managed to have a roof over my head.

I used to go down to the river and fraternize with the folks who slept under the bridge. I liked to bring Burger King Whoppers to them and just talk. A lot of them preferred that life to a 9-5.

One guy was a programmer that took a summer or two off every few years to sleep on the streets. I found him along a small creek where he had set up a really nice refrigerator home. I used to bring a cold beer to him on those hot summer nights. His cardboard house was quite well organized and clean. It was located next to a creek in a wooded area, and he camouflaged his "house" so the school kids wouldn't see it easily. I only discovered it because I was taking my dog for a walk along that creek. This guy was well spoken and quite smart. Just didn't like the rat race.
