A friend records his background parts on his computer, then loads them into his Boss looper. He doesn't use it for every song, but some have full band, some just a bass and drums, etc.

Yeah this was sort of what I was thinking too. I love anything theater based and was hoping I could twist my already warped brain into creating something unusual, stage set sort of.
I was well known for the 'Shroom' effect though I've never had any
