Ok this is the game, pick one person on Bmix you think is talented or good and tell us why you like what they are doing.

I'll go first..

I just ran into this chap on BMIX.
I listened to his drumming and he's pretty thought provoking to me (imo).

SLICK BALLS..nice drummer.

Nice samples as well. Everyone should be as setup.

So many drummers I dislike, this guy is a find..

Who's got you wide eyed these days?

This gentleman here. I've not heard him play nor had he heard I, yet he made some attempts to set us up with some gigs.
He also showed up yesterday seemingly out of the blue at our show in Tyler.

Got to meet him and shake his hand . . . that's rather special in my mind.
He's also a Luthier ! Might come in handy having an acquaintance perhaps even a new friend whom is talented in guitar repairs.

One word, no explanation necessary.

I have to agree. In my time here, NP has shown an amazing ability to transcend genres musically, post plainly and clearly, and most of all- he's seemingly in total control of his music and his life, in the sense of balance and direction.

lol 1 answer and 3 echos.

Were you really that tight that you couldn't come up with your own answer or did you think that NeanderPaul needed your 3 votes>?

Give up your hive mind and use the little piece of brain you have.

The idea is to expose some good players on here that you might not have heard of.

I considered making it a bash thread as in "tell us 1 person you dislike" but I figured I would try to put a positive spin on it. (valiant but stupid effort to reach closed minds in general)

If all of you say the same thing, we got 1 person to listen to and it's nothing new that NeanderPaul is a good musician.

GG, followers....because you know you aren't leaders.

Instead I come back 48 hours later to find a huge diatribe of negativity and anger. (All you wannabe politicians deserve to be banned or you can fight to the death Indian style, your choice.)

You lead by example, not by being a herd animal.
Don't worry, I surely won't ask anything of your tired little minds in the future, I understand where this sh*t bag forum is going.. (woof-woof)

PS: Please excuse me George, I get upset when I realize how bad it's getting here and you're not part of this at all.

I consider this type of thread dead, because if you can't the drift from the get go you are either unwilling to participate or unable to formulate something other than your own small, ill-conceived notion of normalcy.

PS: I think Chippy is really talented as well, but that's not an echo (imo).
At least I have an opinion of my own...

Glad to see so many can read this thread, but nobody wants to plug anyone that they may like, except George. Shows who's head is where to-day.

(no insult intended NeanderPaul)

Well capt'n, I think you are being a bit judgmental.. if not smug in that response.

I do what I want, and if that just happens to be to second someones opinion, so be it. I answered the question, honestly, I don't care if you take it as hive mentality, or lazy. It's my answer.

If you wanted a unique answer, maybe you should have specified that in the OP.

Anyways, to cater to your yearning for some kind of adversity to the list, here's my SECOND favorite.

The city rise, a now-defunct band. The guitarist, Brad, is an amazing player with his ability to transcend clean and overdriven parts fluently. I really liked the band demo songs, and got a 4th newer demo off them right before they broke up. Shame, they were a great band.

It's all good Keith, it's just that I just got done reading all that other stuff and it's really quite distressing that no one feels as if they can give a good word about anyone else on this site without being a parrot.

I am not looking at you, per se.

Just the whole negative aspect of these forums in general of late.

They'd rather kill each other than give props or echo someone else's opinion instead of having one of their own.

It's disheartening.

I mean don't you like anyone here?? anyone at all????

I can give you 5 names at the top of my head..and they probably wouldn't be anyone you heard of lately round here.

Best part of this is that I would be the first one to line up to tell what I don't like about other musos, not the other way around.

And yeah, I am kind of judgmental. You're correct, but I'm a work in progress as usual. ssdd. (you know I have my portion of issues)

PS: Thanks for your second favorite, I am going to go listen to them straight away..I am always looking for something new to listen to..and I am not the only one.

Edit: Wow, they sound like Incubus to me. Scary that they are now defunct. Shows how volatile this business is. One minute you're here, the next you're gone.

One thing I like about you Cap'n you tell it like it is. No one has to guess whats on your mind! My choice would be John! I like his guitar playing and he has a great attitude, with leadership abilities.

I also like Slacker he is an AMAZING player with a monster right hand! I happen to agree with his political veiws 100% of the time!

Grant is an amazing song writer and singer and a GOOD TEXAN!

Sorry Cap'n this thread is like a bag of lay's potato chips! You just CAN'T Pick one favorite!

It's all good. I sounded harsher than I meant to be in my response- i guess I can appreciate that you are trying to stir up some better discussion here

and yeah, sucks they broke up, I was really looking forward to them doing something bigger. They did play 2nd stage at one of those ozzfest like festivals, I forget which one, and then flop- they tried to do some personnel changes that slapped them right in the face and tore the band apart, I guess.

There are some really good musicians that are regulars here but so as not to incur the wrath of Scotty by possibly parroting someone else I'll share this lady. Check out the second video also.

Next time there should the best looking guitar player game because I'm without a doubt the best looking stud on here.

Scott.

f**k you! f**k you and did I say f**k you!?

I hate these kinds of questions...

I didn't pick NP because to me he's more about gimmick than musical substance. ( It dont mean that he hasn't got his qualities and it don't mean I wouldn't pay a cover to see him play)

Let me just cut to the chase:

Everybody on the Phukin site has their comparative virtues... That, I am sure of. I have learned things from all of ya.

Lest we forget... I'm a nobody... so take it for what its worth.

Now, Does anybody know how I can get in touch with BB king? Seriously...

This is a link from his booking / talent agency. His manager doesn't take any calls or emails from non-agency people. This is probably your best bet

Better people..use your own mind, I know you all have one.

(It's the dummies that are afraid to write and speak.)

I am listening to every single link I see on this thread for fear I might miss out on something special.

You people are not what I call easy, but what's the point of easy anyway?

Do what you do and enjoy it.
I thank you one and all for any and all submissions/links etc.
(All being viewed my more than just little olde me, you can bet your bottom dollar on that)

I pick Rodney Jensen he's the singer in the group
I'm playing with, and he's damn talented check
him out on BM, Reverbnation, utube, any of the sites.

If your gonna pick favorite you should also be allowed to
pick worse, that to me is Dame the lieing narc.

Some narcs end up like Billie Bardot
