As some of you may know, I've been going through a medical hell, barely able to breathe at times, dizzy, low oxygen, and doctors mystified at the cause(s). I may have found somebody with possible definitive answers, an expert on allergies. I'm going to be tested for almost ALL of them. It's going to take weeks. I know I'm mortal, and I know death will become me, but I'd rather be a little more comfortable on the way. Just to ease my mind a bit I'm taking an anxiety med in the evening so I can sleep a little bit better.
I believe the doctor is testing me for food allergies, dozens of them. I know I'm done with dairy, finished. When I order cheese and onion inchalatas I'll tell them to hold the cheese!

I think that's a good start or you may just want to go gluten free for a time also. I know a lady who's husband developed a wheat allergy and was causing him all sorts of problems.

I take Temazapam (Restoril) to help me sleep, it's very gentle and it has an anti-anxiety agent in it so you fall asleep easily and stay asleep. You can start at 30 mg, but I only take 15 now. That's if your current meds aren't helping. I can't take regular sleep meds because they're too strong.

Good for you Bob. The most important thing about regular sleep is to go to bed at the same time and get up at the same time every day, even weekends. The body loves routine. As far as allergies, they can develop and go away as you age. I used to be horribly allergic to ragweed; the season used to be from 8/15 to 9/15 every year, but now has gone away as I've gotten older. I still have terrible allergies in the spring to tree pollen.

I also have to believe you'll sleep a lot better once you get your CD done!

Have you tried going to a gluten-free diet?

Bob, This is a movie you may have heard about or seen before, but if not, it's an incredible story and I guarantee if you follow it, your health will improve dramatically.

I work in this industry now, and it's changed my life.
