When I read those posts by Vampier, the words "smarmy" and "oily" seem to best describe his flattering character. Like a shady used car salesman who comes on as your best pal.

Words . regardless of source and context, can and do ultimately mirror what we bring to our own table... Compliments, handed on a silver platter, strictly on the face of them, always look best on a marble top. Some folk don't allow themselves to own a marble top... Instead they prefer cinder block supports and plywood. A silver platter seems so out of place there... But, no silver platter can ever be accused of judging a table...but its owner might be. I would never attack you thus because you have original and critical thoughts, an excellent sense of humour (which we all missed for a time recently) and MUSIC and opinions which you cleverly state in unique fashion.

Oh, yes! Unfortunately, I work for the Bangladeshi Secret Intelligence Services. They work on a very tight budget and so was unable to provide for me even a basic cover. Normally I would have a totally convincing life story, full contact info, several nice pictures of an average American musician with family and friends, a few tunes professionally produced, even a video.

I was only joking about Vampier working for Mossad. They are the slickest operation playing, and they would never concoct a cover quite that sloppy.

I think the key is in the mindset that "Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story". It reads more for me that there is something to learn from anyone and everyone.

Now there's a couple few selections of music and only the ep stuff (Blue Skies Over Your Dome) is online atm.

You can't hold it against people that they don't have music up.
They may actually have something reasonable and only after they post something can you even get the barest idea of what they may be capable of.

I like to needle them into creating something I can hear.
Sometimes you get a surprise, note I can't presume the surprise will always be positive either..
