Some people are just ambidextrous....lol
I played here for a while with a guy who played electronic drums with his right hand, bass lines on a keyboard with his left, and did both lead and harmony vocals too. And did it very well. Quite amazing...
When he first told me about this setup I thought yeah right...he asked if I would like to come over and kick a few tunes around and see how it went, and it didn't take 3 songs for us both to realize it had potential, it only took one song for me to be absolutely amazed he could actually do all this at one time and make it sound GREAT...
He also had the only electronic drum set I've ever heard I actually liked. Usually the tom toms sound pretty good, cymbals and snare suck out loud. He had tinkered with the onboard settings (for a couple of months he said) until he tweaked in a couple of very good snare sounds, decent cymbal sounds and some fabulous tom tom and bass drums. He also sometimes uses acoustic cymbals, he's never been completely happy with the electronic cymbals.
I wish we had recorded some songs, but alas that never happened, and after a while it just fell apart.
Jeff - Don't mean to be derogatory, but see if you can get your photographer to pay closer attention to focus...most of these are not very sharp. With most point and shoot digitals, you have to give them a couple of seconds to focus. Mine has a little rectangle that turns green when it's focused, and I get good shots with it. But I have to make sure and give it time to focus. Again I'm not trying to be derogatory, just trying to get you some better pictures. I wish I was closer than 8 hours away...
Here's what you could expect, I keep a lot of shots posted on Flickr
