I was on topic on that Danny Gatton thread and was not fertilizing it with any spore, but simply said Danny Gatton had absolutely no commercial appeal, which I was called out on, and went and retracted my staement and revised it saying he had little commercial appeal, I did not disagree that he was a slouch on guitar or anything, just stated the truth and then am attacked and my family derided cause of a simple opinion which is fact? Elton John had how many gold and platinum records, and Danny Gatton how many? You must be confusing Yousef with someone else. I met this guy. He was born Muslim, indoctrinated into Hamas leadership and is one of the very few who left Islam and is still alive. He worked for Israeli Intelligence for 10 years and he is still VERY pro Israel. If you are truly interested in the dynamics of the Middle East, read his book and decide for yourself. Yep, the Middle East is complicated.

I really hope you are right but I heard from friends in Israel that the whole thing ended up being a scam, and it was an intentional scam to try and separate christians who support Israel from the rest of the church.

I think Yousef infuriated both Hamas and Shin Bet leadership by disclosing many of their methods and tactics to the world. I have seen no attempt by him to divide the church, rather he is consistently encouraging Christians here in the US to support Israel and free people who are trapped by Islam. In talking with him I believe his motives are sincere but as you know, there is no way to be certain. Within Islam, there are no rules. Jihadists will lie, cheat, steal, hide behind women and children, torture, rape, and murder at will. Anything goes as long as it is in the name of Allah. The Middle East is complicated.
