It can get crowded, especially on the weekend, and then you have the regulars who have been there for a while, so I don't know how that works with spaces and getting a good one. You might want to look up surrounding areas that have weekly Farmer Markets that will also allow you to play. You have Hermosa Beach, Pasadena, Long Beach, Orange - yes, you have to buy a permit so you don't get hassled. Huntington Beach has Surf City Nights that run all year round and it's every Tuesday night. If you work it right you can play pretty much every night of the week.
You want to have some CDs and other merchandise because most people don't tip. Orange County is nice because if you touched that one soul, I've seen guys pop up and drop a 20 in the box.
Nice playing and song, but just remember, it's pretty loud out there so make sure you have a decent little amp and all.
