i don't think i'm wrong...at least not by most folks definition of the word "destiny".
like most folks i see "destiny" as a "destination".....not FROM "where i came from".

obviously you have a different definition of the term. and a different interpretation.

semantics yes. but since we're using words to communicate....i'll go w the readily and more universally accepted definitions and interpretations for the sake of clarity.

I think the word Destiny, when used in passive tone (i.e "Coming from") is clearly suggesting that the destiny Vampier speaks of has its own origins or (Beginning or emergence from) another place, which happens to NOT be dark. I never liked Boushki or Masters and Johnson ...both have become somewhat of embarrassments with the passing of time I feel. You do realize that "humour" of the nature you are using is considered a last resort of defense ? So such poor humour is a poor defense. I shall attempt to address this in a moment. I feel that NY now has become more of a target and less of a destination. I never liked NY visiting or living in it.

Now to address the murmur... your point is perfectly legitimate. Let me express myself on this at risk of further alienation and much more murmur not just from you but from possibly everyone. I am a Vocalist. I play the notes with words. My measures are lyrical expressive compositions made from not only notes but words and thoughts and meanings as well. They are personally crafted complexities that are quite often on a higher level than mere music. Let me reiterate here this is how I percieve my craft.

For me these peices are Art which carry my Spirit and Individual mark. They are "destined" to become one day my Legacies for better or for worse. Their path is more direct and penetrating than any sculpture or painting for when brought to life as music they shall travel through time to eternity.

I magine a Jazz musician and I know you can... he plays not just the "plain" music and notes. He colours them with his ownvery personal touch ...he marks them. In doing so he makes them "his". He does this ignoring the "murmur" of others. He does this for himself. There are always detractors who make accusations, condemnations and misinterpretations ... but to him they matter not ... only the music matters.

Now let me say I personally do not like "Jazz" at all but ... I understand it and respect those who play it well with True Spirit. For me often it seems like musical masturbation but what are we doing ...if not verbal masturbation. All masturbation is quite enjoyable and to each his own I say.

I hope that I have made myself clear and explained and justified why I do not dabble in plain or overtly simple wordage. Besides now I am far too entrenched and committed and old to change my methods. Those here on this Forum have shown me great patience really and in doing so have endeared themselves as well as the Forum to me, Although I enjoy it ...it is deadly serious to me. I am not here to make enemies. I am here to enlist other Artists to an ideal and at worst to make some heads hurt with thought.

perhaps considered by YOU as the "last resort of defense". but others might argue that name calling and striking out in anger at others w opposing views is the last line of defense.

humor about oneself and others when they deserve it should never be a last resort.

for instance i find humor to be an excellent way of dealing w folks who take themselves waaaaaaaay too seriously and go on and on, endlessly couching what they say in doublespeak, lofty anagrams, and use 20 words for what can be more clearly expressed (and understood) w one or two.

Destiny -
1) The events that will necessarily happen to a particular person or thing in the future.
2) The hidden power believed to control what will happen in the future; fate.

...Planet Guy ... Thanks for your Post. I feel that name calling etc is more of a Declaration than a last resort. I will never do that to youand I sincerely hope you never feel inclined to do it to me.

There are many different kinds of humour and I like what you say regarding oneself and others. I guess I am just not a fan of what I refer to as "Crass Humour" and many musicians seem to be. Oh well.

I know what you mean about "them" folks who go on and on and just can not shut up without saying something afterwards. All songs should be only 3 minutes long ... commercials should of course be longer because of their valuable content ...books should all be like Ciff Notes and the smaller the photo or painting the better. Brevity, smallness and simplicity ...now these are all one needs to be truly creative...along with a pair of small pants ie shorts which are comfortable and ......the best possible equipment good money can buy. Your brief and short wisdom is undeniable in it's relevance to the real world ... where some still live.
