I bet you could earn some money leasing out that space..when you aren't using it. 8)

I've got 2 or 3 rooms to play in,
but one is hot and cold.

Vinyl Lps Jimmy, I gave my vinyl collection
to my youngest daughter, she loved vinyl,
I only listen to CDs and computer music,
besides live music.

vinyl the needle goes down

I shot them an inquiry last night. They are in the wrong direction for most of the band, but its worth seeing how much they charge.

My 'studio' is barely big enough for all my gear - and I've moved everything else out except the dining hutch and a file cabinet. If I have to move everything back in from our rehearsal space my wife is going to shout 'where did all THIS STUFF come from?"!!!!!

Good news - we'll be practicing at the bass player's new house , but it'll be a tight squeeze in a single-car attached garage. Still, only 5 miles from me, rather than a 15-20 mile drive. ANd we won't have to be breaking down/storing equipment after we're done each time.

Bad news - still no luck finding an acoustic partner or group. One guy emailed me and seemed to have similar musical tastes, but never called me to arrange a time to get together.
Another CL contact was a 'pretty old' guy (I guess close to 70 by the 3-4 year old videos he referenced) with not the right talents/music styles I'm seeking.

The acoustic trio I am 'guesting' with added me to their reverbnation page, but it's still not what I want to do long term.

I really hate Craigslist and I've yet to hear any happy finds coming from there. I'm sure there are some.

The best place to find musicians are jams.

My drummer Mike is from CL. He ran an ad looking for a band the same week we let our drummer go.

You're lucky. But then I live in the flake capital of the music world.

My Beatles tribute band found me thorugh my CL ad. So did the acoustic trio I am 'guesting' with.
Really depends on where you are, of course. If I wanted to drive further for practicing, there are a million ads in the greater Boston/south of Boston area that I don't even look at.
