Wow Tammy! Thanks... (Blushing now)
Nothing wrong with Mutual Admiration here. As I see it, its a cue for all of us to pay attention to each each other's work. It fosters and reinforces what we breathe and live for...
BTW, Hit that studio, and lay down your masterpieces... Its another reason why we live... . The folks in your circle, who don't listen to you sing...are probably just being impatient with you...They want to hear your stuff polished and wrapped...The studio, Tammy ... The studio... It calls your name... If you sing there, they will hear...
Indeed I am an opinionated jerk.. I confess it. I am working on it... Our lives are surrounded by collapsing worlds...I just have to get the acid out, lest my songs turn to vinegar... I make no apologies for ever being 'to the point'
In fact, I which I could express an entire litany of thought into one or two words...How cool would that be?
JAHVA, I'm sorry, I do not "fear the Clifford" and I think it best that he see that when we visit each others pages, that we can listen and respectfully talk to one another about music. I know he visits everyone's pages, I have seen that, even yours, I believe. No worries, I just want to reply and will move on....I promise.
GRANT,
Thanks for the "pep talk", I appreciate it, I know logically to do it, but I fear the emotional part of me needs a kick in the behind...LOL!!
I hope I didn't offend you on posting my thoughts on yourself, if that came off as rude, I'm sorry, it is just an observation and I think you took that well, I suffer from serious bouts of honesty and observation, but please know that I didn't say "jerk", you did and I don't believe that is exactly what I meant to say.
So, you want to go all Dalai Lama?
I mean, isn't everything always collapsing? The circle of life, civilizations born, people born to grow, hit their peak and decline? I've been in a time of collapse myself and I use my music to keep me moving. Maybe the words you are looking for are "THE END"....LOL!! That's the problem with choosing a few words, could there ever be a word that can encompass all that we think, feel and know?? Good luck with that.
Great thing about music is we can always sing about the good times and the bad. Don't let the bad overwhelm you too much Grant, just inspire you. I know I am in search of folks with brains myself, I have had the greatest luck in meeting some very intelligent lyricists....most from Texas...must be something in the water down there, but very great conversations and music.
I listen to other folks music every day, from all over the world, I have heard some great stuff being made in people's homes, but I have seen some great talent on this board, so I am inclined to hang around and see if any of it soaks into my skin.
