I was wondering how many folks on here have been listening to Chickenfoot?

Ive been just listening to them non-stop on my computor at work, streaming things off of youtube, and I think Ive found my new favorite band.

Some real good rockin music in a classic rock vein that i really like, may have to learn a few of those songs!

Someone on this board pointed out chickenfoot to me a while back when I was bashing Satriani - I used to hate his playing - I had only heard his Surfing with the alien stuff which I just couldn't swallow. Then I heard him with chicken foot and I've had a change in heart! I really dig his playing in this band now. Yup - I'm a fan now!

Sir Jam I just like the whole band, but yeah Satch is jamming on this stuff, and it freaks me out how many songs they have out.

Maybe its a bit dated sounding but Im really digging it.

Currently I cant think of any band that is really doing it for me, I always wind up listening to older things, of all genres, but this music sure speaks to me.

Well, I just have to post this......

I LOVE CHICKENFOOT!!

My first song I went crazy for was "LEARNING TO FALL", still one of my favorite songs!!

I also LOVE 'LAST TEMPTATION" on Chickenfoot III

I like Satriani also, I own "Crystal Planet, Surfing with the Alien and The Extremist".

I got into Satriani when I heard "Love Thing" from the Crystal Planet cd, that is what hooked me!

My first experience with finding I have love for guitar was hearing "Always With Me, Always With You", by Satriani on the radio when I was 10 years old. He has such a great knack for writing guitar melodies. He was my gateway guitarist to other monster players like Steve Vai, Al DiMeola, Greg Howe and Paul Gilbert.

Always With Me, Always With You Is one of my favorite songs. I have that as one of the songs in the break music I play thru the p.a. between sets. People ALWAYS come up and comment on how much they like that song!

Great one to have on the playlist. Have you ever tried to play this song live? lol, even the rhythm guitar part is impossible to play.

Not that one but I learned Surfing with the Aliens about 10 years ago. I pretty much learn songs that the other musicians I work with want to play, that one was too pretty for them go figure LOL!

I was a big Montrose fan so it's easy for me to like Chickenfoot. Satriani impresses me more in this kind of setting than with his solo stuff.

Guess I'll have to check out Chickenfoot. I saw JoeSat open for Bowie back in the 90s. Impressive playing, but not memorable music to me.

Not a big fan from what I heard (and I think I saw them on Conan or something). Individually I like the guys involved but together it didn't impress me (like sour cream, maple syrup, steak and oatmeal, each good on its own, mixed together a big gloppy mess). BTW I was a huge Satch fan, I have all of his albums and I've seen him live many times.
