It doesn't need to be $100/hour pro studio work - with 90%+ of people these days listenign to music on iPods or phones, the quality of the recording - whether its at 90%, 99% or 99.999% hardly matters.
You can get a Zoom recorder with 2 built-in mics, and just play your stuff live into it. Throw it up on a website or add a picture and put it on youtube. Viola!
