Sounds good to me.

Ive never used loops, so its a whole new thing for me.

Good Job, I like your take on Adam Sandler, Grow Old With Me.

Merry Christmas

I liked it, but without the ability to bridges and key changes it seems a little limiting.

Well thanks! I love that Sandler tune. I highly recommend the looper. It's great for working out harmonies, chord progressions, bass, keys etc etc etc. Even if not used for performance it's great to practice with. It hands you your rhythm if you don't already have it. Merry Christmas to you too!

hey-- i like the 3 songs you have uploaded.

the second one (i forgot the name-- i had to kill the window. im at work and have to post in cognito. i dont care, they wont fire me, but still) reminds me a bit of "Of Lillies and Remains" by one of favorite bands, Bauhaus. yours is better, actually.

the first song is my favorite of the 3, but all seem better when they are considered together, because the gears are switched from one to another, if that makes sense.

Thanks! I'm trying to find that song "Of Lillies and Remains". I appreciate the comparison to Bauhaus!!! 8) Switching gears does make sense. Thanks for noticing. That has been my goal since I was about 22. I have
A Capella songs and instrumentals as well . Check out the youtube vids on my bandmix page or all of them here....

i just listened to all three tracks and on the whole its not to bad at all,
i liked the chours on the first track but the verses are a little boaring you might want to spice things up a bit on the guitar,
the second track is interesting i like the vocal sample but its a bit of a dirge not really my thing but ive heard worse.
i liked the last track the best, good energy and great vocals, reminds me of the queens of the stone age early "r-rated" type stuff...
not to bad at all....
keep it up.

Now that's what I'm talking about. A thorough breakdown of my tracks. Thanks! :D What I was asking for was a critique of this live performance. http://youtube.com/watch?v=n5IAQVPGKTs
but thank you for your insightful review. On the first track you reviewed (I Don't know yet) I agree the choruses outshine the verses. I was going for a moody verse, powerful chorus thing. I can see the verses being boring though. On the second (Jackson) I was definitely going for a dirge kind of thing - Somber moody etc. really I was going for a freaky sci-fi thing. Some have said it reminded them of Stephen King's work in song form. On the third track (Long way home (the motorcycle song)) I take the QOTSA comparison as a huge compliment. I've been into them (the lost art of keeping a secret) and Kyuss (also Josh Homme) for over a decade. I think that track is a little, eh, happier or major I guess than their material, but I gladly take that comparison. The moods represented there partially fill my need for diversity. I like Ella Fitzgerald to NWA (straight outta Compton) to Fugazi to John Denver so my tunes reflect that diversity. I like what I consider to be the best of many Genres. On my other youtube vids you'll hear A CappelA to instrumentals to Beatles and Fleetwood Mac covers. I will check out your tracks and review if you like. Thank you VERY much for taking your time to critique me.

Woah Try Redemption! Thanks for the props! Mojo Jojo does own  On that drum pedal in this vid
http://youtube.com/watch?v=9_7tgz2J8PU
... I paid $14 for it 12 years ago. It's just junk. My guitar is an $80 car wreck victim 3/4 scale. I got the bass for free. I like the less is more thing. It's sort of the same pleasure I get from outrunning V8's with a little 4 cylinder. The only guitar effect I use is a rat pedal. I like the looping thing, but a full band , like long way home (the motorcycle song), on my profile here is way satisfying. I played bass and sang harmonies in another 3 piece this past year also. I like to do both. THANKS!!

Like I said on another thread..... LOVE IT! One thing though... If I were close by, I'd love to add some crazy leads to "Behind My Eyes"!

(I was actually screwing around with that while watching that vid)

I was waiting for the green screen effects to kick in and the guitar to go 'invisible'.

Thanks, I love doing it. When I play out live the look on peoples faces is priceless as I slide the guitar back while singing and picking up the bass. The camera man was working for the Roanoke times. The local newspaper here. That's where I recorded. Several people have mentioned the green screen guitar thing. I wish he had done that!!

You know my guitar playing is the thing I was expecting people here to pick on. It's my weakest link in my opinion. I am always open to jamming out. I also record these kind of tracks in a traditional format and I love to work with "real" guitarists. :D That's a big compliment that you played along with it. Thanks!! Here is one example of working with a real guitarist...
