This time the Song-writing Contest will hold two nights : THIS SEPT:
1st Night: Blues/R&B Genre - Venue is booked, Judges panel 33.3% assembled. Some hot writers are expected, and the draw is gonna be fantastic
2nd Night: Everything Else Genre - Venue Tentative: Judges Panel 33.3% assembled. Finalist from Blues night will compete with finalist from Everything Else night. More of the novice crowd here... Draw should be reasonable.
The blues Venue is a rough crowd, and its a Bar (no under 21)
The other venue is in a Cafe. This way Serious music Meets Easy Venue . A splendid time is guaranteed for all.
I heard that actor Al Pacino was gonna be in town in Aug to ribbon cut an old restoration theater project. Wonder if I shouldn't pay for that $1000 dollar dinner plate to rub elbows with him after the ceremony .. and see if he'd be interested in doing a comedic SNL style skit of an old song-writer auditioning for the contest.. (Digging out my TRW to see where my credit stands for a loan)
