All right guys, I finally was able to upload a little snippet of a video from our gig sat night.

Capt, its Highway to Hell which you have asked me to play some AC/DC so you can hear our singer, so this was for you.

A little back ground.

This is a big Moose Lodge building, it was a couple of peoples birthdays, and they hired us and secured the room.

We set up different in here. Its one of those little bitty stages and our drummer was always hitting his arms on the back wall, so we just set him up front and then we work all around him.

You will notice how our audience is, they just get on stage, dance sing and cut up with this, I think the video will speak to that, so this is a video from behind me, and you can see what I ussually see when we play, I think someone one time asked for pictures or videos from behind, so here it is. Watching this you can understand how hard it is to get a video of our band because out front there is always a mosh pit of people, so you couldnt even see us.

Ussually our first set is kinda calm, people getting warmed up. We dug deep into our song list, we played Train Kept a Rollin, which we do play from time to time, but not that often, then we even did Rocky Mountain Way, which I wish I had video of, because when it comes to the guitar solo section I turned it over to our bassist and drummer and just comped along, our bassist was using his synth pedal and did some crazy stuff on the bass, and our drummer just went off, and then we morphed into Rush, Working Man, which I cant remember us ever playing it just happened.

Damages, well at one point some gal knocked over a light tree, we just kept playing, our old soundman happened to be there and set it back up, we only blew one bubl from that. My singer kept hitting the end of my mic stand and bumping me in the face with it. People were falling all over the dance floor, when the gig was over and they turned on the house lights, the table next to where my wife and racing buddies we sitting was covered in puke, they said some gal just chunked it all over the place then passed out on the floor, so all in all it was just another classic gig, complete with dancers on stage.

SO check it out! This is Aint Yo Mama LIVE!

WOW, Thats why I try to stay in the studio. Looks fun though.
You need a deposit for a gig like that to cover the potential broken gear.

I hear ya, we prefer live to be honest. Plus all four of us have a lot of other stuff going on, so doing a gig every other month or so is all we want, and have agreed too, provided we get our going rate. Honestly its not really about the money to me, I just like to play to people that truelly seem to appreciate what we do.

Im not to worried about a light bulb, it was a great gig, we could hear everything, you might notice that from the video being in the back, you can hear everything pretty good, the bass is a little weak, but his amp is on the other side and we dont run our stage volume like we used too, weve learned to use the pa to project and just get a comfortable level where we are.

Thanks for responding.

Awesome, your singer does a really good Bon Scott. Drummer sounded good too. Not crazy about setting up on the dance floor but you gotta roll with it. Nice job!

Jimmy its one of those old cheesy stages, just way to small for us, the dance floor in this room is huge and thats why we do that.

I figured you would comment its kinda punk to have people running all around you, we have to use wireless stuff in order to operate in that kind of environment, it seems that the audience turns into half the show, especially when you get 8-10 people dancing behind you or audience members getting on stage with you, but I think it adds to the appeal, they feel like they are a part of the show, which keeps em coming back.

The only time it bothers me is when they spill a drink on my pedal board! LOL!, I need to wrap it up with plastic like the guys in GWAR do!

Heh heh, it may be punk but I don't want drunks anywhere near me when I'm playing. Gear will be broken and people will get hurt (by me lol).

Heres another one from right behind our drummer, this is Man in the Box, I think it was the first song of a set, and you can see the dancers start coming onto the floor, I guess the booze had started kicking in at this point!

Man that's a fluid situation. Your singer does a great Bon Scott, sounds natural for him. You could use this video as a Duct Tape advertisement! ...nothing was broken...!

JW

I gotta say you guys truly kick ass... What impresses me is the ease in which you guys deliver those songs with timed precision... You Dont miss a beat... well versed, Its something I am striving to achieve.

I just got invited to play at a festival next year, which, based on the old guys (veteran blues players) who asked me, they gave me a serious generous cue to get my ass ready ...

The two things I gotta conquer is timing (consistant duration) , and the decibal levels. (So much different than a session in a studio)

Anyway thanks for sharing those videos . Very inspiring and gives me direction :)

Rock On!

Thanks Guys, we tend to do most of our moving around early in the night before the crowd kicks in, these videos were later in the night, just to show the way the crowd gets at our gigs.

We just try to have fun, we also enjoy playing together no matter what song, I actually set the camera up behind our drummer later and recorded about 30 minutes til the camera timed out, you can see me going behind our drummer and tickling his ear and then him trying to hit me with a drum stick, funny thing he didnt miss a beat.
