You know even our discourse here on bandmix is evidence of the great
moral decline in America. Just a few decades ago nobody would talk to
an acquaintance the way we talk to each other right here.

Behavior has changed in this world we live in, and what is acceptable.
As I have said many times before here. Bad parenting is the start.
Before the little brain becomes hard wired in our youth as a child. All
they have is example and learned behavior. Test after test after test.
At a point they become who they are, from all that learned behavior.
Parenting is the single most important task in our lives. It is because
you actually hands on create the foundation of another humans personality
that they carry on for the rest of their life. That foundation that you
influenced will touch many thousands of others in life and so on.

That is how it happened.
That is why we need to care about stuff and go out of our way to do
the right thing in life. Be humble, be charitable, be kind and respectful.
Have you ever heard of the phrase "Pass It On".
Do something nice for someone you don't even know today and after they
give you that surprised look, look back at them and tell them to
"Pass It On".

Some may think that people that act like that just get run over in life
because there's always an ashhole who will beat you down.
Its all about numbers and strength in character. The more that
adapt to this way of thinking, the smaller the number of ashholes. That's the way it happened the other way.

Anyway, just venting.

I recall a time when you and I locked horns...on this forum. I also recall that I personally felt bad about that... ( I do not recall if I conveyed that to you...).

The mistake people make usually lies in communication (or the lack of).

In real life, I usually follow the edicts you listed about kindness , humble, etc... But, You are especially correct about the assholes.
And as you know, on this forum, I react staunchly to those whom I perceive to be as assholes.

For the record, in this forum, there are two human beings, whom I have no doubt in my mind, are in real life, substandard in their character. I find them to be un trustworthy, back stabbers and thus, undeserving of any effort of kindness and humility.. If I were to meet such individuals, I would not give them the time of day, and as far as I was concerned, they could simply rot, standing in the gutter, while they try to figure out why their lives are so empty and meaningless.

The bigger point : We talk about medals, and honor...and such. But we sometimes lose sight of how we obtained those medals...No matter how we slice it...They exist solely on the predication of war. War is not a good thing, Klugmo. What redeems us medal recipients, is the knowledge that we operated in war as a means to achieve peace, rather than as an ends... You can quote me on this: "Slaying the enemy is indeed a victory, but winning him over instead, is a glorious victory. " In modern america, there is only one prize for the latter... Its called the Nobel.

So basically, this country appears to have lost sight of the real values of honor and what that means.

Jimmy Danger, You and Lynard are both spineless cowards who have done NOTHING for your country, except take from it and then persecute those of us who value and wish to retain our "obsolete" values. You and Lynard can Go F U C K yourselves. I spit on both of you ...
