New strings, set up, careful tuning balanced over the neck area you are playing on.
Your playing was cool but the guitar sounded like something off a dime store music shop wall..
O.K. getting back to my initial outburst. The one thing I hate about my track Spring Breeze is that I was playing on strings with about 20 hours on them.
There is NO WAY to tune them to compensate. I've been over this before.
String wear is string wear. Maybe you can't hear it,, But I can.
Acoustic Guitars. I love the sound but they are not set up for playing anything except your big basic E A C G chords. It is a real love hate relationship with me. (unless you get into big bucks)
Dane your first song is cool because you are much closer to being in tune.
Try and do that with morning glory. Then it will come across. You may need some work done on that acoustic. Fresh strings for recording on an acoustic last about 5 hours,,, In MY HUMBLE Righteousness.
Don't argue with a stupid person. They will pull you down to their level... And beat you with experience..."Samuel Langhorne Clemens"
GLENNY it was played on a Nashville Telecaster no acoustic guitar was involved.. maybe that's what's wrong, it should have been played on an acoustic, and the engineer was dialing the tone from a computer software program ..it was a little "brittle" sounding listening back.. what I can't figure out who is viewing this thread at over 1,000 hits/views now, I want to assure everybody it is not me clicking on it.. not a whole lot of feedback but many views
