Persistence Of Vision

When I joined this place, it was just one of many places I was searching to join/form an acoustic-type act.
Still looking to do that, but in the meantime, my endevours have led to:

Once-per-year Beatles-theme benefit at a local coffee house with some friends, with Greg Hawkes (the Cars) as the headliner.

When I have a free evening, it's back to the 'studio', mixing and recording songs for my second CD.

I came here to discuss the esoteric aspects of music and sound with other musicians . . . I still do sometimes, but I also found BandVista and after setting up my recordings for mp3 downloads, I get about 800-900 hits a month with a little less than half of them buying one or more mp3's.

I joined several years back, and used to post regularly.
I was looking for female vocalists and a bass player.
I found both, and had a band for a while doing all originals.
Now I'm spending time writing new songs and recording same, with the ocassional open mike, and teaching the ocassional guitar lesson.

If music is important to you, you will persist!
