That's because I try not to say anything at all about someone's music if I don't like it. Maybe you might find some other people that would play with your sorry ass if you weren't such a tool but the outlook is bleak. You're a wanna be programmer and a wanna be musician. Get a life loser.

Jimmy, last time I checked, this was a public forum... Mind you, There is nothing you have to say that would ever compel me to actually inject myself into your dull conversations...But , as you are so self-absorbed, I could see why you mistook this thread as being all about you...for you. And frankly, I hadn't realized you were ignoring me...

As for your discretion about comments on other folks' music, We all know that its less about 'consideration" for them... and more about your own self-interest. You wouldn't dare cast the spotlight away from your own efforts...

Get a life you say? I have a life,Mr Jimmy. I have no debts, I drive a really cool car, and I got musical freedoms... BTW, when was the last time one of your songs got you laid? :P ...I thought not.. You poor little diabetic fat man... I guess the dyed hair isnt working out?

Face it dude, After 30 years, all you can come up with is "Crooked Bitch"? (Yawn...) Who's really the tool here? Its okay Jimmy, cause in America, you have the right to be an EPIC FAIL...and you have the right to continue living your fantasy and delusion. Most people will be kind enough to withhold their laughter... (Not Me though, I laugh heartily at you) .

See , if you weren't such monkey smoker, I'd have respect for you.. But You rate lower than Lynard on some fronts... AT least when he stabs you in the back, he isn't afraid to confess it... And ...I hate to admit it ...but even his music has more heart to it than yours...) Hey dont get mad at me... I'm just a musical greenhorn speaking my mind...And this time, Mr Jimmy, it is about you ...

But calling it gay, even jokingly, was unfair; that could be said of most of the profile pictures posted here, even yours. The point is we veterans should try to help and encourage those at the beginning of their journey, not run them down. And if someone has no music posted GET OVER IT. What if a music fan wanted to post on this forum, would you run him off for having no music as well?

OMG! What a PHucking hypocrite!

I guess everything is bigger in Texas, especially the assholes.

You must be quite excited that someone is actually talking to you. Don't know where you get your info but diabetic? No, my sugar is perfect. Fat? Maybe 20 pounds, probably the same as you, but you're a lot younger, I was 130 pounds when I was your age. And my hair is all mine, including the color. Sorry to ruin your day.

Nothing wrong at all with confidence... Its necessary in fact... but claiming to be a genius ...Well' that's just an announcement that you can out-do the famous big dogs out there... And of course...people are gonna wanna see evidence of that... I'm just saying... ;)

Are you guys really that "manly" to generalize a picture based on the surroundings? Maybe I should post one of my gore pictures to sate your appetites and fit the mold of every other conceited cunt who thinks he is a professional badass. Also, since when do death metal vocalists have to be f**k hard asses all the time? Also news to me.

Stop being dickheads to each other. Think before you type bros. If you wanna have a dick waving contest do it in pms. I can take a little criticism so flame away.
If you read other threads. Its mostly dick waving that ends up going on. You'd think they'd have better uses for their time. And if the better use of ones time is online, and being a pompous twit. Then that's really sad (albeit a bit funny).

Anyways, semi on topic I'd love to listen to some of your work.

Some people should get together and poke fun at music. Dress all in pink bunny suits and have cute things on stage. Then growl and be loud =) Call it The Pink Bunnies. Thought of this because of the whole (your profile picture has to be darker).

Forgive me for saying Sir. You and others may be larger than myself, and people that roam about. However, I'd hardly call any of you "big dogs" of the industry. Maybe a bit more progressed, but all still trying to get a bone. Yet what most forget on this forum, as OP stated. Is that being respectful to one another is fairly lost. I would like it if you all acted more your age. Yet I still come every now and again to see what any of you can teach me (as I read posts). Largely do not learn anything from many of your posts over arguing with one another -lol-

I think its healthy in part to have this with ones abilities. Its that same drive that will propel you. I wouldn't listen to anyone that tries to tell you otherwise. If you look at many of their ages. They are far older than you and still trying to get a bone. You have more opportunity than they do with time.

Daniel, I think you are misunderstanding my meaning about the big dogs... When I refer to the big Dogs, I am NOT talking about ANYONE in BM,,, The big Dogs I refer to are the successful multi-million dollar acts that set the world on fire in some fashion or another. ..Take a guy Like Slash for instance... Nobody here compares. Take the Sex Pistols or any number of successful Punk Groups throughout.. ...Nobody here compares...

Now here's the whacky part... many of the big Dogs , I would not necessarily consider as genius... So, if you tell me that you are a genius, you are telling me that you are better than them. Naturally, Were gonna be inclined to expect to see you knock the big dogs out of the park with your stuff...

Respectful is as respectful does... All too often we see a bunch of "billy-bad-asses" pass through and they talk a lot of smack...and wind up being posers... I guess they just love to dwell in the ideas but have nothing to show for an effort. (Even if the music sucks, it would say they tried , which is respectable)

You have been around long enough so you know what I am talking about. You also know that anyone comes up with specific legitimate question, they'd get inundated with a ton of good advice and wisdom... And even, dare i say it, some moral support...

Sorry for misquoting you, I didn't go back to page 1 of this thread.
And despite (or because) of all the comments, the basic questions are:
1) What's your stage/band experience? Psych classes, army, drunk karaoke nights, etc are no substitute for solid band experience. A 'can do' attitude is great, but only a start. You'll typically have better luck finding others to form a band, (or getting others to invite you into a band) if you are more humble about your abilities and show a desire to learn and progress, rather than be an 'instant star'.
2) What equipment do you have? As a singer, you should be ready to get a band on stage with some PA equipment, whether it be mics, monitors, or a whole system. A cheap Shure SM58 ($99) vocal mic and an audio interface ($100) will let you start recording on just about any computer. It's a start.

I see a ton of ads for singers who say their equipment is 'their voice' and then they add that they sang in choir in high school, or something similar to that. Playing music (even as a weekend warrior) requires commitment - time and money (and more time and more money). If you're serious about doing it, start investing both time and money in it.

Let's all take a moment for the PMS squad.

I hope your genitalia hurts and that's why you're whining. lol

And I double LOL at your "stage genius" comment.

If you like "Flacid Book", how come you aren't on it now?

I would comment at length (longer than what this is now -heh-) Sir. However, I do not go beyond things that may lend to drama. While your thoughts may seem on target in proper for yourself. One must never forget that even a self proclamation of self, especially when its just to bolster confidence. Is really not that horrible. I'd be more apt to look at it differently if it was under other merits. Those in sports do this sort of "oh ya I'm better than you" all the time. Even when they know they aren't. It helps them to try their best. Anyone that reads past his comments in this, is just searching for something to troll on. Pure and simple. And given all of your ages, you should know this as well as I do. Yet mostly all I see on this forum from many of its members. Is not advice over arguing and being jerks (sorry to say). And I say this in total not in part. Either way this is the last I'll comment on this matter. Or even come in here to read comments. So its just things to think on (or not).

And on actual advice. Concerning myself. All my threads I've posted on my work (even though I have samples). I get "OMG its growling, I hate growlers. You all suck. Its not music". This in itself hardly tells me that this forum is as constructive as you think. Even when I've gone into other threads. Where people are actually fairly good. I've seen similar comments to them. Where is the constructive for them? Not sure why I'm posting this. Itll be trolled I am sure. Its the great advent of this forum.

Uhh .... First off, Tell us how we should act our "age" ... Do I get get a pass if My skin color is darker than yours? Maybe some leniency for the welfare recipients..?. How do you define age and what expected behaviors might you have in mind? ?

Secondleee... the trolling provides a level of amusement for many others... if not for you...

Thirdly, That's the Irony... This is a public forum... You are asking other subscribers, some of who pay a membership fee to censor themselves on your behalf... Its a lofty demand...sorry! As a rule of thumb, if yo cant sway the folks at the Greyhound bus station to walk your way, you arent gonna have much luck trying that on the forum

My advice...acquire a thicker skin. :)

Your advice is flawed given I honestly don't give a damn. I normally don't revisit closed thought threads. The comment as stated was internet stuff bothers me not in the least. The comment was, and is about the truth, that being a jerk is not a way to be. Did not say in any way it bothered me, I think you want to feel empowered that it does. Such is the mindless internet troll. I could give a damn if anyone thinks like I do, on the internet as well. You will always be losing that battle by thinking you offend me even in part on the internet. My comments were more in defense of the initial poster to ignore you idiots =). And that he should. If your lives are so worthless to feel empowered to forum troll. Maybe you need more than musical advancement. I actually find forum trolls to be a bit funny (In a loser sort of way. You are free to think otherwise.)

Now with that said I will stand by my normal posting rule. Of not revisiting this thread. So banter mindlessly all you like, it will never be read by myself. So feel empowered to talk some wind. Go on I give you permission.
