We are a quirky commercial recording studio in sunny South East London with punchy Fender amps, vintage synths and outboard effects, high-spec industry microphones, a brand new custom made Mapex back-line, a range of musical bits-and-bobs to experiment with, and a strange device that boils water for tea or coffee.

Located one stop from London Bridge, (5 minute walk from South Bermondsey Rail, 12 minute walk from New Cross Gate), in a beautiful air conditioned complex with separated live room, chill-out lounge, kitchen, free parking, wifi, and plenty of places to eat in the local area.

Rates:
£100/day. Flexible 8 hour day with an enthusiastic and experienced engineer (MA in studio composition and production), amp/kit hire, and free mixing after the recording session to get the tracks sounding tight and polished.
£150/evening. Record throughout the night and early morning at a time that suits you. Complimentary mixing and coffee supplied!

Sorry to call you that but I could not see a name.
You posted in August and as far as I can tell no one on the site has shown any interest?
I cannot justify £100 a day to wife and kids anyway, but I have been in the Philippines for five months so did not even spot your posting about it.
It sounds to be in a great position; one that I go to fairly often with my girl, just nearby in Trafalgar Square and the park to chase pigeons etc.

I write and play on my own but have no performing or recording voice so will not be using a pro recording set up for a while... by which time I might be too old being 54 already; though age doesn't seem to be a problem if you are already doing it, but getting started seems a different thing!

So I can really only wish you well and express surprise that no body stuck their head above the parapett to ask about the studio.

Now here in December, can you say how it is going and if you are filling all available recording time each week?

I wish I could justify the expense of coming up to record a couple of songs, as it is lonely doing it in my workshop studio in deepest Sussex; trouble is that my eight month boy takes time and spare cash for now so I have to stick with DIY!

I just get:

I may be interested in doing some work down there in the next year or so as I'm based in Oxford and Guildford (slightly closer than the guys in the states)…

Can you confirm whether your site is down and also possibly post some specs/photos (if that's allowed in forum rules - I only joined today and haven't read yet).

Studios are going out, last place I worked at Mayfair had bitten the dust and even now with Abby roads and Air or with most studios people are just doing TV work or film work Or scraping the money by offering to polish your tracks before distribution.
Most bands would just do tracking (recording) them selves and probably mixing to a studio. Or For budget artist they just use a pc and then find a distributer like ITunes to get it out there. Its a sad day when studios going out. But no one is buying CDs any more.
