Nostradamus wrote most of his predictions in Quatrains.... One has to wonder, given the real power of poetry, if those predictions were truly a vision of a future , or perhaps merely self-fulfilled prophecy, through the readers.

I have to say, that I don't know a thing about Nostradamus.

He made many predictions , which apparently have come to pass...

I love to create and write music! I could go for hours without stopping with the right musicians. Not everything I do comes out perfect but if I put my heart and soul into it usually comes out good.
If you CAN write Good music - you should.
If you can write fairly good music - you still should; you'll get better . . .
But if your originals sound like someone else's songs - then you should probably stick to doing covers.
.
It comes down to our own tastes however.
.
Music is highly subjective; we each play for the reasons that are the most rewarding for us.
So - if you don't like your own songs as much as other people's songs - then play their songs.
If you like your own songs better - then play your own songs.
If you can do both equally well, then I look at it like this, "Why be a 2nd rate imitation of someone esle, when you can be a first-rate version of yourself?"
