It's interesting........I have this link posted in countless places online & off & in the ONE place, Bandmix, that is supposed to be a sharing space for the mutual respect of musicians, this link attracts some pathetic losers..... Kinda makes one go Hhhmmmmm~!

Bleu...It attracted you din it?... Nobody here is a loser... Some folks are extremely opinionated and they register it with pitchforks and torches at times.
The Jimi Hendris thing... Its a sacred topic for many...and they don't all relate to what yo are trying to get accomplished... That don't mean what you got goin on is a bad thing... Me personally, I respect anybody who has the discipline to play it out like the authors intended... But I can also see where some folk, with a burning taste to invent and create might be skeptical..
In the end Its all good...just be patient, and know that the toughest critics just gave you worthy responses... (I'd have worried if nobody here had piped up at all...)

Well, there's "losers" and then there are "loozers"...

I was reminded by 2 members here in private e-mails that the negative comments on this post are indicative of guys who 'get off' sexually by posting those type of comments, especially since they have no musical life of their own nor a lady(s) to share their time with,....So they are not even worth responding to...As I said before ....pathetic~!

However, NO.... I do NOT worship Jimi. I am an actor playing a role. I am very kool with my spirituality in which the One Most High is worshipped...........Regarding MY original ideas, if you read CAREFULLY my response post, you'll see that I said I was signed to Columbia/Def Jam records & Russell Simmons who signed me was my personal manager. The band that he signed was my ORIGINAL project with me fronting an all-female backup band, with whom I was living with. A totally unique original act~!

@ Etu......David Kramer is close friend of mine & in fact, not only am I featured in that doc & helping him with it (which is 19 years in the making by the way & will definitively re-write the 'book' on Jimi), but my Hendrix show has appeared at 2 of those BB King Hendrix B-day gigs & scheduled again this year. David also helped me immensely on my film............Regarding Buddy Miles, he recommended my Hendrix show as a substitute for a gig in Long Island some years ago when he had to cancel because of tooth surgery.

@ Jimmy Danger.........I know what you mean about being bored with tribute band music. I can relate. One of main reasons my tribute band has been able to survive 44 years non-stop is because I treat most of Jimi's music as if I was playing in a fusion group, incorporating modern rock, funk, jazz, hip hop, reggae, worldbeat, etc rhythms. There are of course tunes of his which have to be played stock, but most of his material leaves room for new inventive ideas with the grooves. The various tribute albums bear witness to this. I just keep to this same idea with 3 pieces......... I also perform his music in the studio on all instruments (live drums, bass, guitar, vocals) with that same fusion idea in mind.............. I checked out your band links by the way...nice stuff indeed~!

I am willing to respond to ANY amiable comments relating to this, but I will not take up space here on this valuable website entertaining guys who as I said 'get off' making negative comments.... If you feel you MUST do that, feel free to contact me at Bleu444@aol.com & we'll go 'toe to toe', but at least come with something worthwhile to the table other than BS~!!

The person or persons who passed such slanderous rumors in secret has issues, one of dishonesty and another of cowardice. The person who received them without questioning the veracity is defiled willingly though.

I have nothing against indie films or even tribute bands, but you go further than that. You make the claim that you are being possessed by Jimi...and that somehow you received his talent after he died.

I'd have no problem with hyping yourself as the best Hendrix tribute band in history, if you were to say something like that.

But you promo this film as if it's a bio on Hendrix yet, instead, it's a hype piece where you equate yourself as his equal.

I'm sure your intentions are serious, but watching the clip is how I came to my conclusion or opinion. It doesn't look professionally done to me. Not trying to rag your product but you presented it for viewing.

I remember seeing Mahogany Rush in 1974, it was pretty novel for the time. But it was a one trick pony, their original stuff wasn't that great. Trower is head and shoulders above the flat out imitators.
