The oldest tune I know just got a facelift as well as a full recording.
It's a softer version, Les is coming on strong.
I posted it on my player for you to listen to.

Please do sample the "waters" and have a drink, if anything tastes bad spit it out and let us know..

We hope you like it..in any case tell us the good, the bad and the ugly.

Thank you Bandmix musicians for being available to critique our work.

Originally, it's a cover (see below link)

Hope you enjoy it as much as we do..

Oh Hell yeah.. 8) Nice job.
The sound is excellent. I can't think of anything I would change except I would like to hear you push your voice a bit more at times. But over-all I think it's the best I've heard from you guys.

boy that brings back memories.

when I was a Hendrix fanatic
there was only so many albums
"cry of love"
being the last of the ones that was legit.

the only critique I could offer is;
you changed it, but you didn't change it enough.

not taking anything away from your musicianship.
just referring to tampering with first art.

Sounds psycadelic, but the old lady
says easy to dance to (well we were
listening.
I like the keys at the end also.

Tamper away Scott, its a righteous rendition in my book...Seriously, love it and I bet Hendrix would be proud!

Ok now for the other nugget of truth

1) At 00:34:You slipped into a flat vocal in exchange for that glorious (flanged or chorus) vocal you'd been using... This happened to a fella on a bus I was taking last year... Couldn't wake that guy up for a month ,..Just kidding :P But...Ever had an enchilada that was swimming in good wet hot enchilada sauce and the end of it was the tortilla jutted out like a dry corn chip... Its all good ..but damn ....a dry corn chip.!...

I'm guessing you wanted to mix up the narrative in the song a bit... so If it were me, I d have just stayed with said effects but also enhance the vocal with another track on top of the regular vocals..and play around with alternate effects/levels level and settings. etc... It would accomplish what was set out to do, but wouldn't kill the fluidity of the primary narrative (For want of a better phrase..) :D

Ok Thats muh storee

You may be one of the few people whom can effectively use that much flange.

lol You think that's heavy flange? Pfft.

We are working on a new tune, possibly finished on wed or maybe subsequent session. It's so heavy but good, I am a little intimidated.

I am hoping it's going to be my "Magnum Opus" or tone wise at least.

It's called "Invisible Light" and it's not up and won't be for at least a week.

If you like psychedelic, you owe it to your ears to check it out.

I'll let you folks know when it hits the player.

I have to thank LES because he's playing at a huge level and actually is improving my playing because of it. I shudder to think of what he will conjure up next.

Thanks Les, you are a life saver..

lol Scott. You have yet to not step up and impress man. I tell Scott to think Floydish for Irrational and David Gilmour jumps out of the hat, next week it will be George Harrison. Honestly the only performance I would be shocked by, is if I were actually capable of catching you flat footed with nothing good to add. :D

I agree with Paper Dogs assessment. I should put some reverb on the narrative like a soap opera flash back thing, or maybe lower it 2db. The guitar seems like it should come up a tad and the keys down a slight bit. The guitar seems like it is not fully balanced with the keys. The percussion is a little too loud. Maybe bringing both the vocals and guitar up a little, will balance it out? Just once it would be nice to believe a mix is finished, but this one definitely still needs a little tweaking.

>? You got all that by listening to it?

Where was I when the knowledge epiphany happened? lol

(Reminds me of the joke about passing out BRAINS and the subject thought they said TRAINS and replied, "oh I have enough of them at home already".)

I told you I hear content but I can't really hear specifics like something is too loud or too soft, unless the error is glaring.

I really like the lyrics on this song and how you express them. Listened twice and I still like it a lot.

Scott, I totally appreciate your independent and original approach you have always had, to covering a song.
Love it !

I really never get used to the fact that you guys seem to like what's going on.

You can color me surprised but pleased.

I hope our next tune lives up to expectations.
(else I may just roll up and die) lol

RGM Mix- You need to get the hell out of Minnesota. You have a better drum sound than a heck of a lot of people, thus I think you'd be very busy round these parts. I know I'd like to utilize you..really good drummers are like leprechauns, as in you only see them if you have some gold in the pot. lol
