Last night I picked up a pair of these monitors from craigs list for $175.00.
do any of you guy's have these? if so how have they worked for you. I need a set of flat response monitors while mixing as I intend on doing a lot of writing and recording this year! The ones I bought look brand new! I looked on all the online musical supply stores and these monitors had good reviews on all of them. What do you think?:)

A nice near field monitor and a very good value. I use a pair of M-Audio monitors at my workstation but a friend has the Rokit 5s and I like them a lot. As with most near field monitors they are very sensitive to location. The closer to a back wall the more bass response. When you get them, put on a few tracks you know well and move the Rokits around until you find the sweet spot.

I use MAudio (Bx5's) Got em at GC, the tech steered me away from the Rokit. He said people buy them for the look, and there are better monitors for your money. (I think he thought i was gonna drop some real coin.) But it sounds like you got a good deal. I think the cheapest pair i saw was in the 300.00 price range. I couldn't hear much difference when i listened to them vs the pair i bought which were cheaper. I just got them last month so i'm still getting use to them. But position and proper space like Johnny said is key.
But I'm still just a newbie at this.
